Prompt: Soren decides he wants to give Enya a ring

Setting: After TTM events

---

"You want to get me what?" Enya asks as she stops her sewing.

"Rings, you know, the metal things that go on our fingers?" Soren says as he tapped on one of his fingers.

"I know what they are Soren, I just want to know why all of a sudden you want to get me a ring."

"Well not just you, I wanna get myself one too. Since we're married now, we don't have any like other married couples do."

"Okay, but do you even have the money to get these rings?"

"Of course! I just wanted to know what sort of metal you want the rings to be made of. Like silver, gold, rose gold, iron?"

"I don't know, how about you pick?" Enya suggests with a shrug before turning back to her work. "Surprise me, I usually like it when you surprise me."

"You actually want me to pick?" Soren asks in surprise.

"Yeah you pick the metal, surprise me. Just nothing tacky"

"Okay, nothing tacky and I can pick the metal. Ooh can I ask for our rings to be made of the metal we use for armor or our swords? That'd look so cool!"

"I did say you can pick it, so do it."

Soren beams happily before pressing a kiss to his wife's cheek as she turns back to her work. "Got it, you're gonna love it and wished I proposed to you with these!"

---

"So, what do you think?" Soren asks his friends as he proudly displays them a pair of silver rings laid inside a small box on a dark green cushion. "You think she'll like these?"

"Well I guess, but why all of a sudden do you want rings?" Callum asks as he bends to examine the rings. "Practically half the capital already knows you two are married."

"Yeah, but I just wanted us to finally have a pair. I felt bad that I never gave her an engagement ring."

"That's because you proposed and married on the same day!"

"I think these are pretty, and I think Enya will like them." Ezran says with a smile. "At least these will tell others that you two are together."

"And they're not tacky looking either, these engravings actually look pretty neat." Callum says as he plucked one ring from the box. "Oh this look like one those ornamental Del Barian rings I've seen merchants sell."

"I actually asked an acquaintance of my mom's to make these, I asked for a pair of dragons and flowers to be engraved in them. Since we're both half Katolian but one of our parents are from another kingdom, I just wanted to add something from there."

"That's beautiful!" Ezran exclaims as his brother showed him the ring. "And it makes perfect sense too, Del Bar's symbol is of a dragon and Duren has a flower for theirs! Enya is really gonna love these!"

"I should go take them to Enya right now, I wanna see the look on her face when I give her hers." Soren says as he took the ring back. "Wanna come? You probably wanna see the look on her face when I give these to her."

"Yeah!" Both boys exclaim before following him out of the throne room.

The three soon made their way outside towards the tailor workshop, where Enya stood outside chatting with a short red haired woman wearing gloves and Corvus.

"Shh, watch this." Soren whispers as he quietly created up towards his wife, who didn't notice him at all.

"...and I cannot stress over how we definitely need to get more recruits to make up for the loss of the soldiers who were turned, someone the other day nearly got in a fist fight with me over it!" Enya groans. "There's honestly nothing wrong with recruiting more soldiers in my opinion, Amaya and my husband can whip them into shape in no time and - AHH!"

"Hi wifey!" Soren yells as he scooped her right into his arms and spun them both around.

"Soren what did I tell you?!" Enya yells as she clung tightly to her husband. "That's not funny!"

"Yes it was, and you love it when I sneak up and sweep you off your feet, A mhuirnín!" Soren laughs as he stopped spinning to kiss her on the nose. "Aw come on, don't pout now, I got a present for you."

"If it's another kiss I'm going to smack you."

"It's not!" Soren quickly puts her down and motions for Ezran to come over with the box, which he handed to him earlier. "You said I could pick out the rings I wanted to give you, so...here."

Puzzled, Enya took the box from her husband before cracking it open and gasping. "A mhuirnín, are these-"

"Wedding rings!" Soren states proudly as he pulled one out of the box and got down on one knee. "May I?"

Enya nods shyly as she lets him take her right hand and slip the ring onto her ring finger. She lifted her hand to examine it, admiring the etched details in the metal. "A mhuirnín, are these symbols of our non-Katolian parents' homelands?"

"Yeah, I thought adding something from Duren and something from Del Bar would make these look nice, I even had a Del Barian silversmith make them and sent the design to her."

"Oh my, may I see?" The red haired girl asks as she and Corvus walk over and takes Enya's hand with the ring. "Oh this is gorgeous! Corvus look at this!"

"Who is this?" Soren asks his friend with a confused look.

"This is Ella, my girlfriend." The older man chuckles. "Been meaning to introduce her to you guys for a while, I thought she and your wife would get along well despite her...chaotic nature."

"Hey I can be calm and reserved if I want to!" Ella protests but grinned. "But you like it when I'm a bit more chaotic."

"She reminds me way too much of Reyna." Enya laughs. "Soren these are beautiful, I'm never taking this off unless it's to bathe."

"Good, because I'm not taking mine off either." Soren says with a grin as he handed her his own ring so she could slip it onto his finger and kiss her hand. "I should have given you one of these a long time ago."

"Well, I'm glad you gave them to me now." Enya says with a proud smile. "Now we are officially married."
