Prompt: Enya is an assassin sent to kill someone, but unfortunately gets injured and is found by Soren, who is unaware of her task

Setting: Moonshadow assassin!Enya, set before the events of season 1

"Ah damn!" Enya groans as she grabs her ankle in pain. Of all the things to go wrong in this mission, it had to be this! Tripping over a large tree root while running and now she couldn't even sneak into that castle without drawing too much attention to herself. Ancients above, Runaan would be disappointed in her.

Several weeks back she had been selected out of all of the assassins to take on this task, to kill the dark mage of Katolis and his child for the crimes they had committed in trekking into Xadia and stealing magical creatures to use them for their dark magic, and to take them out before the other assassins arrived to take out king Harrow and his son prince Ezran so there wouldn't be any interference. While she wished she had some help, she trusted the clan leader's decision in choosing her, though now she regretted agreeing to the task.

If any humans spot me here I'm dead for sure. Enya thought bitterly as she carefully removed her boot to examine her ankle and winced. It was already starting to swell, and she wasn't even sure if she could make it to a campsite near the castle to wait for nightfall. Stupid tree root. I guess I'll have to resort to this for now to avoid suspicion.

Before she had left, a friend of her father's gave her a simple necklace with a moonstone, in case she needed some sort of illusion spell to help her with her task. Thank goodness she had accepted it. Enya carefully slips the necklace out of one of the pouches tied to her waist, quickly pulls her boot on, and cups the necklace in her hand before murmuring the illusion spell and keeping the image of what she wanted to look like in her mind. Fair skinned, dark hair pulled back in a simple braid, small round ears, her face still looking the same but without her markings, both hands consisting of five fingers, her feet having five toes, along with a plain green tunic, a dark green surcoat to fit over it, a pair of dark brown pants, and a simple pair of scuffed up boots. She felt a strong wind rip through her hair and opened her eyes to find her hands no longer her usual skin color, and her normal clothes were now replaced by clothes she had envisioned herself wearing. Perfect.

Enya gives a grunt as she attempts to pick herself up off the floor and gives a yelp of pain when she accidentally puts pressure on her injured foot before dropping to the floor. Damn it, was she going to have to crawl all the way to that castle? That would certainly be humiliating. She stiffens when she hears the sound of an animal nearby and someone dismounting before a human emerges from the bushes. It was a male human wearing strange looking armor over his clothes, probably some sort of soldier, his dirty blonde looking hair brushed back and a surprised look on his face when he saw her.

"You have a problem?" She asks the human with a frown. "Staring is rude."

"S-sorry, I wasn't expecting to find anyone on my morning patrol." He apologized. "Are you badly hurt?"

"No, I didn't trip over a tree root and probably broke my ankle."

"Wait did you?"

Well this one seemed a bit dense, probably would be easy to get him to drop his guard and she could quickly kill him with his own sword. Actually that'd be a bad move since she was injured and that'd make her slow and he was a trained soldier so he probably would have a better advantage of overpowering her if she tried to fight him.

"Here, let me help you." The human finally says, taking a step close to Enya with his arms out before she tries scooting back from him. "DOn't worry, I'm not going to hurt you."
