"Billie, can you please sit still so I can finish you hair?" I sigh trying to comb the girls long faded blue hair.
"Hurts" she whines swatting away my hands.
"I'm sorry sweetie but I need to comb it out, I'll give you a lollipop if your good and let me finish" I say and she stops moving.
"Pwomise?" She looks down into her lap.
"I promise" she nods and I carefully comb through the tangled blue hair doing my best not to hurt her too much.
Once I get all the knots out I put her hair up into two messy space buns, pulling out a few lose strands to frame her cute face.
"All done" I announce, she turns to me and smiles.
"Lollipop now?"
"Okay I'll get you one" I smile.
I leave the room quickly and come back with a cherry flavored lollipop. She claps cheerfully as I unwrap it for before she pops it into her mouth.
"Don't make a big mess with it, we just got you dressed" I explain.
She nods babbling nonsense around the lollipop, I crouch down feeling around for my shoes under the bed.
"Billie" she turns to look my way, "sweetie get me your shoes from the living room please?"
She gets off the bed, walking happily out of the room to fetch her shoes. While I wait I bend down to tie my shoes.
"Look, Fwankie I did it!" She squeals standing in the door.
My eyes fall to her feet now in her shoes, "good job Bil, but they are on the wrong feet. Just switch them and you'll be all good" I smile brightly.
She grunts lowly but plops down on her bottom to put her shoes on the right feet.
"Alright sweet girl, let's go" we enter the living room.
I grab Billie's bag making sure all of her essentials are in it plus I had some snacks and a bottle of water. I grab my wallet from off the counter and toss it in her bag as well. I shove my phone in my pocket and grab my keys before opening the door.
Billie put her arms out while opening and closing her hands, "I can't carry you down the stairs, darling. But I'll carry you to the car okay?"
She pouts her lip as she looks down at the floor, I intertwine her hand with mine guiding her down the steps. We make it outside and as promised I pick her up making her a lot happier.

I park as close to the mall entrance as possible and turn the car off, "Billie, wake up. We're here" I say softly caressing her cheek.
She whines turning out of my touch, curling up into a ball with her head resting against the seat.
"Billie wake up or you won't get any new toys" I giggle.
"Toys? For me?" She asks sitting up quickly.
"Yes, we are gonna buy you some new stuff so you can be more comfortable at the apartment."
I help her out of the car and we walk hand in hand through the automatic doors, "wanna get toys first or clothes?"
"Toys!!" She shouts a little too loudly.
"Inside voices, darling" I speak softly.
"Sowy" she blushes, probably embarrassed.
My lips find her cheek, giving her a soft kiss. Her cheeks flush a dark shade of pink and I clear my throat, "to the toy store."
We get to the toy store and I look down to see Billie's face light up, it was actually the cutest thing I've ever seen. I felt her tugging on my hand, "wook! Titch'!!"
My brows furrow as I search for what she was raving about, I let her hand go following her. She picks up a Stitch plushie.
Ohh she meant Stitch..
"You like Lilo & Stitch, Bil?" I ask the girl who was squishing the plushie up to her face.
"Mhm mhm" she nods frantically, "I h-have it?"
"Of course you can" I boop her cute nose.
I let her wander through the store, being sure to stay close to her. She gasped and squealed at basically everything we saw, I'm gonna need a cart for all this stuff. Luckily there was an abandoned one just at the end of the aisle. I quickly went to grab it but when I turned around Billie was gone.
My heart dropped, "Billie?" I call out speed walking through the aisle. No response.
"Billie?!" I say a bit louder, no response again. Panic sets in and I can't even focus on the sounds around me because my heart is pounding so hard, that's all I can hear.
A man shouting catches my attention, "why are you in here acting like that?! You are not a baby!"
I follow the shouting to a few aisles over and see a short, stubby and balding man yelling at silencing crying Billie.
"Who the fuck do you think you are yelling at her?!" I shout making the man nearly jump out of his own skin.
"She's in here acting like a baby, it's disgusting and weird. She should not be allowed to act this way in public" he scoffs with his nose in the air.
"And you shouldn't be aloud to have all of that out in public!" I snap back referring to his fat beer-gut peeking out the bottom of his dingy, stain-filled tank top.
I push him to the side, scooping her up into my arms. She tightly wraps her arms and legs around my body, holding on for dear life as she sobs. The man rolls his eyes and walks away while I console the upset girl.
"It's okay baby, I'm here now. I'm so sorry he was such an asshole to you sweet girl" I mutter, rubbing circles on her back.
"Wanna leave" Billie croaks.
"Okay let's play for your toys and get out of here" I say.
And that's just what I do, her things didn't cost as much as I thought it would. Not that she had a real budget or anything but she grabbed so much stuff I thought I would spent most of the money on toys.
I set her down once we exited the store, "wanna hold him while we walk around?" I ask pulling my hand out of the bag, holding the Stitch plushie out for her to take.
She nods, her head hanging low. I should hurt that man for making her so upset. Who the hell did he think he was yelling at her for being herself? Yelling at a child is such a dick-ish thing to do. I should've hit him but I didn't want to cause a scene and upset her even more.
"Is there any specific store you like to get clothes from?" I ask her as we walk around the huge and almost crowded mall.
"Da wittle shop!" She exclaims pointing to a store just up ahead.
Well what do you know, the sign soft yellow neon sign actually says 'The Little Shop'.
