"Momma!" Billie shouts from in the bathroom.

I pause on fluffing my curls out to join Billie in the bathroom. I had the door open while she was taking a bath so I could hear her.

"What's the matter, darling?" I ask the pouting girl.

"I all 'winkled up, wan get out" she pokes out her bottom lip, showing me her pruny fingers.

"No need to pout pretty girl, let's you get out of here and get you dressed." I grab her towel from off the hook behind the door, instructing her to stand up so I could wrap her in it.

I lift her out of the tub and stand her on the soft mat right in front of it so her feet aren't on the cold floor. Gently I dry her off and guide her to the bedroom. I had her outfit laid out on the bed and she starts to dress herself.

"Need any help angel?" I offer, watching her stumble as she tries to slip her pull up on.

"No, Biwie big girl" she replies quickly, focused on her task.

She manages to get it on and her pants, but her shirt isn't going on as easy. Billie gets one arm halfway through the shirt and tries to put her head in as well but gets stuck.

"Momma he'p pease" she whimpers and of course I help her immediately.

"There you go. High five baby, you did it almost completely by yourself!" I hold up my hand and she smacks her hand against it.

I fix Billie's hair into to french braids and by the time I'm done my phone rings. It's Ava calling; after I invited Jordan to come over I remembered that Ava mentioned a play date for Billie and Willa. So I decided to do it all today so Jordan could meet Ava and Billie has someone to play with.

"Hello?" Putting my phone up to my ear after accepting the call.

"Hey, we're here!" Ava says, I could hear her smiling through the phone.

"Okay I'm coming." I hang up and tuck my phone in my back pocket, "wanna come with me to open the door for Ava and Willa?"

Billie shakes her head 'no', that's a bit unusual for her but I don't push the issue. Leaving Billie in the living room, I quickly run out to get the door for them and we rush back up so Billie isn't alone for too long. When we make it up the stairs Billie isn't on the couch anymore.

"It's so good to see you Ava" I hug her, "and you must be Willa" I smile.

"It's okay, honey, say hi to Frankie" Ava says softly caressing Willa's long light brown hair.

"H-Hi Fwankie" she gives me a small smile. Hopefully she'll feel more comfortable around me as the day goes on.

"It's nice to meet you, Willa. I have someone for you to play with, let me go find her" I chuckle lightly.

I go straight to the room step inside but Billie isn't in there. She must be hiding in the bathroom so that's where I check but at first glance I don't see her. Then I hear a small squeal coming from behind the shower curtain. I ease the curtain to one side finding the small girl crouches down with her knees pressed against her chest.

"Where you hiding from me, silly girl?" I crouch down to her level.

She shakes her head, "n-not you momma."

"From Ava and-" I pause briefly, letting out a sigh, "from Willa?" She nods confirming my new found suspicion, "why baby?"

"Wha-wha if she mean to Biwie? What if she no wike me?" Billie whimpers.

"Oh baby, she won't be mean and if she is you tell me and Ava okay?" She still doesn't seem convinced. "Can I tell you a secret?"

"Uh huh" she nods eager to know what I have to tell her.

"Willa is scared like you too" I whisper loudly.

"Weally'?" Her blue eyes gaze into mine.

"Yeah, I think she might need a friend and a hug to feel better. You think maybe you can help with that? Could you be my big brave girl?" I coo, resting my hand on her cheek.

She thinks for a moment before nodding her head, I hold out my hand for her to take but she insists that I pick her up and I would never deny her so I pick her up setting her on my hip. We move to the couch where and Ava and Willa are, Ava's face lighting up at the sight of Billie.

"Hi munchkin!" Ava beams.

"Hi Aba'" Billie giggles lightly.

"There's someone I want you to meet" Ava starts.

"Mama down" Billie whispers in my ear. I nod letting her down, she stands infront of Willa.

Willa's cheeks flush a light pink, "h-hello."

"Hi, I-I Biwie..." when their eyes meet Billie speaks again, "hug?"

Willa steps closer and the small girls wrap their arms around each other. Hands down the cutest thing I've ever witnessed.
