Chapter 33

After Chase's workout we walked into the cafeteria and saw the others sitting at the back table. It's good to see everyone again. Being alone in a hospital is pretty scary. Especially when your alone most of the time. 

"Hey Eloise", a couple of people wave at me and I wave back. I huge smile crosses my face. 

I look back at Chase. "They said hi to me", I whisper. 

He smiles. "Is that good or bad thing"? He asks me confused. 

"That's an amazing thing", I say. "No one has ever said hi to me". Especially people my age". I said. 

He smiles, "then that is a great thing". Chase says. I roll my eyes playfully. 'What did I say about the eye thing Amore". Chase says. 

"You can't do anything about it", I say with a smirk. 

"Not yet but soon enough you'll regret rolling your eyes at me". He says.

We walk up to Randy, Jaslyn, Jade and Zahir and I sit down next to Jade and Jaslyn. While the boys go to the other end of the table. The table is 5 feet so it's the perfect distance. And we won't be that far away from each other. 

"Why were you so happy over there?" Jade asks me taking a bite of her apple. 

"People said hi to me". I say happily. 

Jade's eyes widen and she hugs me so tight I think I might choke. 

"That's amazing Sugarbooger". Jaslyn says. Zahir raises an eyebrow confused. 

"No one has ever even noticed me before". And no one has ever said hi to me". I say. 

Zahir gives me a soft smile. "It's great that your making friends". He says. 

"But they better not replace us", Randy says Eating his pancakes. 

I sigh, "you know I already found 4 new bestfriends and a new boyfriend". I say dramatically. Chase jumps from his sit anger in his eyes. 

"Eloise I swear you better be lying". 

"I am! I am!" I say quickly. He sits back down with a smile. We all laugh at Chase. 

"What? "Why are you guys laughing?" He asks us confused. 

"She didn't even finish before you raised up from your sit". Zahir says. 

"Chill out Hulk", Randy says. 

"Prince charming can you please sit back down before people start to look at us". Jaslyn says through laughs. 

"I wish Zahir did that", Jade whispers in my ear with a small frown. I smirk. I go over to Jaslyn. 

"Pretend Jade has a crush on some random boy to see how Zahir reacts". I whisper. 

She nods, "hell yes". She whispers.

We saw a random boy and starting nudging Jade. "Why are you guys nudging her"? Randy says. 

"Her crush is right there", Jaslyn whispers. 

"Go talk to him", I tell Jade pushing her from her seat. 

Zahir stands up. "Where the fuck is he, I am going to beat the shit out of them". Zahir says. 

Eloise, "I heard Zack had a crush on you", Jade says pointing to a random table.

"Jaslyn, Caleb also has a crush on you". I say pulling her arm pretending to be excited. 

"What no way"! Jaslyn says jumping up and down. 

"They are so hot", I whisper. All 3 boys jump from there seats and goes tot he table we pointed at. 

"Guys"! No"! We were joking". I say. They stop in there track. Zahir and Randy walk over to them and carry them bridal style. 

"Zahir put me down"! Jade says laughing. 

"Nah", Zahir says walking out the cafeteria. "Guys imma head out this one thinks it's funny to do pranks on me", Zahir says pulling her into a kiss. 

"Me too", Randy says giving Jaslyn a kiss. "You shouldn't have done that", Randy whispers in her ear. And Jaslyn turns red. 

They all leave the cafeteria and I frown. Chase notices. "What's wrong"? He asks me.

"I wish that were us", I mumble. 

"Soon that'll be us". Chase says. I nod walking out the cafeteria. I go into my room and lay on my bed. 

"I wish that were us", I whisper. 

I hear someone knock on the door. "Can I come in"? Chase mumbles. 

"Yeah", I say. 

"Look Mi amore we have to wait some time before we can do that". Chase says. 

"But I don't want too wait"! I shout. "I have waited 15 years to find a cure for this stupid disease"! And I can't keep waiting"! It's hard to see couples do all these great things when we can't even do them ourselves"! I say with tears streaming down my face.

"I don't want to wait either", Chase whispers. "Don't you think I want to just go up to you and kiss you". Not caring if I die or if something happens". I would risk it all just to have one kiss with you". Just to be with you for once in my goddamn life"! He shouts back. 

"I don't want to wait for this stupid cure either". He whispers. "I just want to be near you". He says. 

I laugh, A happy laugh. "This disease actually brought us together". I say with a smile. "No other couple can say how much they love each other". "But we can". This disease helped us express ourselves". I say. "I would have never told you I liked you if it wasn't for this disease". I say.

He nods, "If we just wait a little more then we can be together". He says. "But if this cure doesn't work I swear I am going to walk up to you and kiss you", Chase says. 

I nod, "then we agree". "For once and for all if this cure doesn't work then we just risk it". I say. 

It's theory that 2 people with Trauma-X that stand close together will die. But no one has ever told stories of people who actually did.

"If this cure doesn't work then we'll test it out ourselves". We'll risk our lives to get what we want". Chase says. "To be together for at least one second". I whisper and he nods. 

"It's a promise we will both make". Chase says.

"Do you promise Chase Adams that if this cure doesn't work you'll risk your life just to get a kiss out of me and to spend at least one more second with me"? I say. 

"I promise". He says with a smile.

"And do you Eloise Rivera promise that if this cure doesn't work you will risk your life for a kiss and spend at least one more second with me"? I nod. 

"I promise". I say smiling back.

And we should never break that promise.
