Chapter 37

Should I really do this? Should I sacrifice myself just to be with some random boy?

Oh who am I kidding it's not some random boy it's someone I love more then anything.

 I just don't want to leave my friends behind. 

We have been friends for 12 years and now it's going to stop. But who knows it might not stop if the cure works. But I have low hopes with the cure. 

I'm walking back to my room I forgot my bag and I need it to continue doing my work. I am trying to be a forensic scientist and right now I am studying to become one soon. 

I heard I can start at the age of 18 years old and I am hoping I can start soon. 

Or at least be an intern.  

I was about to open my door before I heard talking. 

Muffle noises. 

I open the door and my eyes widen to find Randy, Jaslyn, Jade and Zahir in my room with pieces of paper in there hands. 

The notes I gave them. 

What are you guys doing here. But no one answers Jaslyn and Jade just run up to me hugging me. "Thank god your still alive". Jade says with tears. 

"Why are you guys in my room"?! I ask. They step back a bit shocked. 

"We were looking for you". Jaslyn says. 

"Then why do you have my paper in your hands"?! I shout. 

"We just found them on your desk and when we saw our name we opened it because it said "I'm sorry" On it". Jade tries to explain.

"That doesn't mean you can just go through my things and just wander in here without my permission"! I shout. 

"Eloise I'm sorry I didn't know you would be this mad". Jade says. 

"Then you shouldn't have searched through my things"! I shout back. 

"You know what Eloise"! Jade shouts with anger in her eyes. "I was so worried about you and if you were ok"! We all felt so loved when we read your letter"! We couldn't have been happier to know that you think of all of us like family"! Jade shouts.

"You should have seen Randy's face"! He was smiling and smile so wide he as full of joy"! But no you don't see that, all you see is us going into your room "searching" when all we tried to do was be with you and make you happy", Jade whispers. 

"But if you want to die without a goodbye or without knowing how much we love you then so fucking be it"! She says.

I froze. 

Maybe I did want to die. I don't need a stupid fucking goodbye because they'll forget about me and forget about everything we did together. I remember what mom said when she was in my mind. 

"Family doesn't last forever" 

"Your friends aren't your true friends".

I guess she's right because they aren't family, they aren't my true friends.

Something sparked in me. 

A spark of anger. 

Something that wants to come out. 

And it will come out. 

"Your just gonna stand there! And not say anything"! Jade shouts. 

"Family doesn't last forever, Your friends aren't your true friends", I say. 

"What"? Randy says with a raised eyebrow. 

I can feel my anger take over. 

"Get out of my room now"! And I never want to see your fucking pathetic faces again"! I say pointing to my door. 

Tears stream down Jade's and Jaslyn's eyes. Jade looks at me with a raised eyebrow but leaves nonetheless. 

And I see Randy frown looking down at the paper. 

Zahir holding Jade's hand. They all start to walk outside and I slam the door once they all left. 

"Family doesn't last forever". Friends aren't your true friends". A voice in my head says. 

I smirk. "Family doesn't last forever". Friends aren't my true friends". I whisper. 

It didn't feel like me. 

I felt weird. 

What is happening to my body? 

Something is taking over me. I realise

"Oh honey, you guessed right"! Someone says with a joyful voice. 

An evil voice. 

"This will be fun". The voice says laughing.
