Chapter 40

I wake up to a headache. I groan. I open my eyes to see everyone around me except for Chase leaning against my door with a cigarettes and his eyes closed. "Eloise your finally awake", Jade says with a sigh of relief.

"What happened"? I ask. And with that Chase's eyes snap open. He quickly takes his cigarette and throws it off the floor to stomp on it. 

"You were being controlled, and I think you already know who". Jade tells me.

"Mother", I groan. They all nod slowly. 

"Chase I already seen you with the cigarette", I mumble. He looks at me for a moment before putting his head down. 

I'm sorry, He mumbles ashamed. 

"It's ok, I'm not mad at you", I say with a small smile. He smiles back with a small nod. 

"Can I talk to Eloise for a second", Jade asks them. 

Chase hesitates before nodding. "I'll talk to you after", he whispers. 

"Ok," I mumble.

It's just me and Jade they all left. Is she mad?

I can't really tell.

She comes up to me and hugs me. I smile hugging her back." I'm glad your safe", She tells me.

"I'm glad your safe, I'm sorry I really I'm sorry". I tell her with tears forming in my eyes.

"It's ok I just can't believe you remember our code after all these years, I almost forgot about it until you said it". She says.

I remember when Jaslyn wanted us to call it code gay. I say laughing. 

Jade nods with laughter. "I remember a gay couple passing by us looking at us strangely". She adds on and I nod throwing my head back in laughter.

We have been through to much shit, Jade says with a chuckle. "I know this is bad timing but was it cool being controlled"? She asks me with a grin.

I nod excitingly. "It felt like I was floating like I'm watching someone take my body and then I blackout". It felt like I was sleeping for a while", I add on with a grin.

"That's freaking cool", She says jumping up and down. 

"I know right, that was on my bucket list last summer", I say smiling at the memory. 

"Of course your dumbass put that as your bucket list". She says rolling her eyes.

"Hey don't judge me, look at me now". My bucket list came true". I say with a huge smile.

"I'm just glad your safe, I was honestly scared. We were planning on making a cure but once you called we went to your room immediately". She says.

"Thanks for coming to save me, even though that wasn't your plan." I tell her holding her hand. 

"Remember it's you and me against the world, Sisters from another Mr." She says and I nod with a laugh. 

"Look Eloise, we read the note but it was by mistake. We were going to surprise you in your room and spend time with you and Chase but your mother came in". I felt so stupid and I am really sorry". She tells me.

"Why are you sorry you didn't mean to read the letters.... even though you did". I add on slowly.

"I said some things I didn't mean, I only used it to offend you until I saw you were being controlled", She says looking at the ground. 

I squeeze her hand softly, "It's ok as long as your here with me and that all of those things you apparently said wasn't true we're good". I say with a smile. 

"Wait how was everyone's reactions to the letters"? I ask her. 

"You should have seen it, Randy cried and he was so happy to be called an older brother". We were all so happy and full of joy". This letter helped us connect to you more". She says.

"We love you more then ever and if you do want to risk your life, I'll be by your side". She tells me.

"And I respect your decision". She says with a soft smile.

"Thank you that means the world to me." I tell her kissing her forehead.

She is my sister and she will always be my sister. 

I could never ask for anyone else as my sister.
