Chapter: Twenty Seven
I let out a yelp, admittedly expecting the one to pull Ricky away to be maybe Liam or Niles. Maybe even Louis, but I did not expect it to be Megan. She grabbed him by his throat, slamming him into the nearby wall. She may be weaker than the others, but her own strength was nothing to scoff at. She'd killed Amon, after all.
"What do you think you're doing here? How dare you," she seethed as he frowned, putting his hand on her wrist.
"Can't say I really met you last time. I take it you're the grieving mother?" He said, talking with difficulty.
"Britt was what is he doing?"
"We were just dancing. He says he's a student here," I explained, and she frowned, looking at him.
"Yeah, a heck of a welcoming committee. Doesn't matter how pretty you are if you don't give a warm welcome. Now would you consider letting me go so I can breathe? As a testament to my goodwill toward you guys and personal convictions, I don't want to have to be rough.
Or ruin that pretty dress. Sorry about your baby, by the way. I'm sure that was a difficult time-
"Shut up!" She snapped, slamming him again.
"Did you do that to everyone who offered their condolences?"
"No one else who offered their condolences tried to kill Britt or was involved with the one who killed my son. You wouldn't have come back if you weren't planning something."
"Your right. I'm trying to get an education. Personally invited by Victor, and he assured me I wasn't going to be attacked by them. I guess the message didn't get passed along to you then?"
"Apparently not."
"You know, if you're normally like this, I feel really sorry for your husband."
"Ricky, you aren't helping yourself right now," I frowned.
"One of the last people I danced with was at my wedding and he killed my child. So I'm not about to believe a single thing you have to say."
"Then don't, but you really should ask our dean of the school about that. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble because you injured me. I'm more of a gentleman than you know of."
"We'll see what everyone else has to say about that then," she sighed, letting his throat go.
He chucked still holding it. "Mentioning him stopped you in your tracks, didn't-
She punched him in the face and he slammed into the wall again. He turned, holding his face, and I could see a trickle of blood on his lip. "Your charming and this is why I'll never get married," he said, wiping his lip as though it was no big deal. "Careful, you might break a nail."
"Britt!" Max sounded.
All too soon Ricky was once again slammed by this throat into the wall. This time it was Niles with an angry expression on his face. I was pulled back and had only seconds to release it was Liam as he placed me in between Max and Jayden. My mind was having trouble keeping up with everything that was going on.
"Hello, boys!" Ricky chuckled, despite the hold Niles had around his neck.
"Can we hurry up and kill him?" Clary sighed.
"You guys have some of the rudest chicks you know that?"
"Why are you here?" Niles seethed.
"So apparently Victor hasn't told any of you. Miscommunication perhaps?" Ricky side.
