The Master's Problems

Chapter 10 - Rebellious

"And then he point at me right here, it fucking tickles so I punched him" Scourge ended his story as Sonic laughed to it.

"Your relationship with your bodyguard has to be one of the weirdest I've ever heard"

"I never asked to be guarded anyway" Scourge leaned back on his chair and pouted.

The two friends were hanging out at an outdoor cafe, it was quite a famous place for the students who studied there. Sonic took a sip on his coffee, he then realized something and stared at the other.

"Have you ever try to persuade your parents to get rid of him?"

"I have, but...I got yelled at" he laughed, "so I just try to cause as much trouble as I can for my bodyguard"

"That's clever" Sonic chuckled, "that's also one thing we have in common, my parents never listen to me or even try to understand me..." he sighed.

"Really?" Scourge asked in surprise then leaned forward to the table, "but you seem like you're such a nice kid compared to me, how are they not respecting your wishes?"

"I know right?! I'm always good all the time yet they never respect me...now they want to make me marry my own friend..." Sonic mumbled deppressingly.

"Do I know this friend?"

"It's Mephiles, the one who always sit next to me in class"

"Ohh that guy?" Scourge raised a brow, "that...must've been very awkward"

"I know" Sonic groaned in embarrassment and facepalmed with both hands.

"But does he want to marry you?"

"We both secretly agree to run away when it's time for the wedding" he sighed, "I just hope I can do it, I'm scared of running away"

"Well I'm not" Scourge smirked, "you both can run away and hide at my place if you want"

Sonic stared at him in shock, "for real?"

"Yeah! I think that would be a fun idea, then we can all hide together. If my parents or your parents find out, we can just run away together somewhere" he laughed.

It was the first time Sonic actually felt at ease from thinking about his run away plan. Scourge acrually helped him on finding a solution to it, he was really happy. Not to mention he was willing to run away with him just because it's fun.

"There's that smile, you're so cute" Scourge smiled and pinched his cheek.

"Haha stop it" Sonic giggled and pushed his hand away. He also blushed from the compliment.

Scourge's phone rang while they were still in the middle of talking. He picked it up and groaned when he heard the voice of his servant.

"Not now, I'm busy" he simply said and hung up.

"Wow, now I just kinda feel bad for the guy" Sonic said as Scourge put his phone away.

"Meh, I don't. Besides, he's supposed to obey me so I don't feel bad for telling him to stop looking for me" he shrugged.

"Would he be mad at you?"

"Probably, but that's fine" Scourge chuckled. "Come on, let's get out of here before he finds me" he stood up and took Sonic's hand.

"Huh? But my bodyguard's watching" Sonic mumbled.

"Not if we get out of his sight" Scourge whispered then lifted him on his arms.

"Whoa-"

"Okay let's go! Hahaha!"

"Haha Scourge! You startled me!"

Shadow watched in shock when he saw his master got carried up and was taken somewhere without even telling him first. He quickly followed them as fast as he could, but he actually lose sight of them.

"Damn it, that guy" he cursed and facepalmed.

How could Sonic even be friends with a hedgehog such as Scourge? He just looked like a bad influence toward his master and it shows. He needed to calm down and find him or else he would be in trouble.

Shadow was also troubled by his own feelings when he saw how easy it was for Scourge to turn Sonic's frown upside down. How fast it was for him to earn Sonic's trust and just how well those two were being close together. Something just didn't feel right in his chest and it was all because of the statement Silver told him.

He didn't like it. Once he found his master he would immediately separate him from his new friend.

Behind Shadow's frustration, Sonic was actually having the time of his life hiding away from his bodyguard's watch. Scourge took him around the place and got him in his car. They both laughed when they realized they actually escaped Shadow.

"That was really fun" Sonic chuckled.

"Yeah, living your days like a stereotypical rich mobian is too boring. You get what I mean, now?" Scourge leaned back on his seat.

"Yeah! You're very admirable!" The blue hedgehog cheered.

"Awww that's cute" Scourge chuckled, "let's go to the other campus, our servants won't find us there" he started the car and drove away.

Sonic suddenly thought of something, he wasn't sure if he wanted to say it but he did anyway.

"At this rate I might just start running away right now, I'm tired of living with my parents! I'm also sick of having to be with Shadow all the time, all it did was just hurting me" he said then smiled at Scourge, "so can I stay with you?"

The green hedgehog looked surprised, no one had ever asked that to him before. He smiled and nodded, "sure, might as well look for a way to escape this place" he smirked.

"Yeah! That'd be great" Sonic said and made the other chuckle.
