The Master's Problems

Chapter 17 - Brainstorming

Sonic woke up that night, he looked at the clock and it was around 8 PM. He actually felt a bit better from his sickness, he decided to get up and went to the bathroom. After doing his business, he walked out of his room and stood near the railing to see Shadow downstairs. He still have his headache and he couldn't stand up for too long, but he wanted to get out of his bedroom for a moment after being in there for the whole day. The bodyguard didn't seem to notice him. Sonic smiled and leaned his head on the rail.

"Hey Shadow"

The bodyguard turned his gaze up in surprise when he heard his master and lover's voice. He was happy but concerned at the same time.

"Master, are you feeling well?" He asked while quickly going up the stairs to meet him.

"Slightly better" Sonic chuckled, "I think the medicine helps very well"

"That's good" Shadow smiled, "but before I take you back to your room, is there anything you need me for?"

"Actually..." Sonic averted his eyes away shyly, "can you...help me...change my clothes?"

Shadow could hear his own heartbeat at that moment.

"It's a bit hard for me to raise my arm all the way up...well, moving around is still tiring for me. Just help me change the top if you can, I'll do the bottom on my own"

"S-Sure, I'll help you" the bodyguard said and offered his arm for Sonic to hold on as they went back to the bedroom.

Sonic sat on the bed as Shadow picked out his clothes from the wardrobe. He was very nervous because this was the first time Sonic requested him to do that, never in his career did he ever saw his master without clothing. He became even more nervous.

"Shadow, if you don't want to-"

"No no, I can" Shadow said, turning around and placed the new clothes on the bed, "it's my job to take care of you" he smiled.

Sonic smiled back, but only for a second after he realized Shadow was about to reach for his sweater. He blushed and put his hand on Shadow's face almost quickly.

"S-Sorry! I'm a bit shy" he pulled his hand back and apologized.

"Haha, I understand. Don't worry about it, punch me if you like" Shadow chuckled and Sonic just covered his face out of embarrassment.

Shadow finally grabbed the bottom hem of his master's sweater and lifted it up so he could take it off. He decided not to look and stared at something else in the room. He took the new sweater that he placed on the bed earlier and wore it carefully on Sonic.

Their eyes met but Sonic quickly averted his eyes away. The bodyguard was too close to his face and it made him nervous. Shadow chuckled at the expression and leaned in to kiss his forehead. It surprised him and their eyes met again.

"You're so cute" the bodyguard smiled and pulled himself away.

"Thanks Shadow" the blue hedgehog smiled while blushing, "you know...you can just call me Sonic now"

Shadow took the used sweater, "I'm not used to that but I'll try" he smiled. He went to the door and gazed at his master again, "call me if you need anything" he said before exiting the room.

Sonic felt like his fever was going up again after the kiss, he thought he could have returned the kiss and gave Shadow one on the lips but he was too shy. They're also still not used of being so casual around each other.

The next day, Sonic was finally recovered from his sickness. He attended his class that morning and was greeted by his friends. As he was about to go to his seat, he was surprised that Scourge sat next to him. His seat was in between his two close friends.
