Always Protected

All of the guys woke up excited to finally go and see Rain again. They all made sure to shower well as nome of them had really taken care of themselves during the past three days. All making sure they wore something comfortable because they knew they would be in a hospital. After the nurse called them and told them the okay about coming up there they all instantly ran outside to their bikes.

"Rain!" Baji says happily as he bust into the room. He walks over to her and is the first to hug her as she laughs at him.

One by one they all came and gave a hug to her. "I have something for you." Chifuyu pulls his backpack on his legs as he say on the hospital bed beside the girl. Wonder in her eyes as she wanted to know what it was.

"Chifuyu you didn't have to." Tears formed in her eyes as she hugged her pillow to her chest.

"I knew how you always slept with it so I figured you would want it." Chifuyu scratched the back of his neck as the other guys awed and teases him. After a little bickering everything settled down.

"Let's do this right." Draken dug into his pocket. Pulling out the small box she remembered getting. "Your gonna give it to me and we are gonna do this the way it should have happened."

She giggled and held the box with both hands. "Happy birthday Draken." She placed the box back into his hands after a second of holding it. He opened it to see the black dogtag. "Open it." She pointed to the clip that held it closed.

He opened it to see the five of them inside. It was a picture Rain had taken before graduation, before everything went to shit. He was quite as he looked at the small picture as it he never knew it was taken. But he was there he remembered it clearly. It was a fresh memory painted into his brain.

"I hope you like it." Rain whispered as his silence.

"I love it." He closed the tag and held it tightly in his fist before putting it around his neck.

"I did good." She cheered to herself. She moved around to much with a little cheer dance making her leg pulse with pain. Hissing at the pain she scrunched her face up.

"Calm down." Draken placed a hand on her forehead and pushed her back lightly to make her lean against the bed that was sat up.

"I'm okay," She smiled as the pain subsided, "Stupid broke leg." She poked at the black full leg cast she now had to wear.

"Speaking of broke bones," Mikey stood at the foot of the bed, "Rain we saw something when the brought your x-ray back in the room that night."

"What did you see?" Her voice quiet.

"Your body was full of fractures of broken bones that didn't heal correctly." Draken answered.

"When did you see that?" Chifuyu stood from the couch.

"When you was outside fighting with a doctor." Baji glared at him.

"You fought with the doctor?" Rain snapped her head to look at Chifuyu with her mom look on her face.

"We are not talking about me!" Chifuyu pushed a thumb to his chest.

"Yes we are!" Rain fought back.

"We can talk about short stack later," Baji pushed Chifuyu's head to the side, "Right now it's about you." He pointed a finger at Rain.

"I don't wanna talk about me." She played with her fingers looking down at her lap.

"So it's safe to assume you shit ass of a father did that?" Baji asked laced with hate and annoyance.

"I did what I could to make them heal." She whispered lowly.

"Rain they was all over your body!" Mikey crossed his arms.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys." She looks around at them.

"As long as your safe now it what matters." Chifuyu smiled at her in hopes of lifting the mood in the room.

"Your not mad?" She ask again looking at all four of them. 

"No," Mikey shook his head, "More along the lines of worried."

"Even Baji was." Draken smirked.

"Shut up!" Baji screamed at him stomping his foot like a child would. 

The room instantly erupted into laughs as that seemed to be the breaker they all needed. "well I'm glad to know you actually care." Rain had a bright smile after she finished laughing.

Baji's had a light dust of pink cover his cheeks and looked away embarrassed. "What kind of asshole wouldn't care." He twisted his foot on the floor like a child would.

A knock came from the door and Mikey walked over and opened it. In came the nurse with her tray of food. for lunch. "There is a café in the lobby if you boys are hungry." She smiled at them.

After giving Rain the food she left the five alone again. "You need to go eat i promise I'll be okay." She smiled at them. 

"One of us can always stay up here with you." Chifuyu protested. 

"Go eat." Rain pointed at the door. Soon all four of them walked out and down to the first floor. Taking the top off her own food she saw that it was fried rice and some steamed veggies with chicken. "Yum!" She spoke to herself before digging in. 

Right before she could dig in a knock came from the door. She called for the person to come in and the door opened. In came a guy she felt had seen somewhere before and then she remembered that she had seen him at work before. "Do I know you?" She asked looking at him. 

The guy wore all black with a silgle globe like earring. "I'm a friend of Baji's," He smiles, "My name is Kazutora."

"Why haven't I heard of you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Well I have been gone out of the country for a while." He answers. 

"What do you want?" She asked.

"Baji told me what had happened," He stood at the end of the bed, "I just wanted to come see how you was doing. Make sure you didn't die or anything."
