Twenty-Fifth Dream

Our promotion ended but our group is still a talk of the town. It made me really happy for I can see the impact we made. My name keeps on circulating online. I seriously hope that they saw my skills and talents for me to trend almost everyday but unfortunately it wasn't the case. Ibang video ata ang nagviral tungkol sa akin.

I sighed after I watched the said video. Gets ko why most are making a fuss about it. His admiration towards me is really palpable. Sa industriya pa naman ng bansang ito ay mas sumisikat ang may kaloveteam lalong-lalo na kung nagustuhan ng masa ang chemistry.

Pero saan naman nanggaling ang chemistry naming iyon? We barely had an interaction but people became delusional because of those.

"Ayos ka lang?" Mina asked when she sat beside me.

"Na. This is the last thing I want to happen." I sighed. "Imagine what Aisle will feel once he knew about this."

"Hindi naman kasi alam ng publiko ang tungkol sa inyong dalawa. Isa pa, cute naman talaga ang mga reaksyon ni Mark lalo na no'ng titig na titig siya sa'yo habang nag-pe-perform tayo. Hindi rin naman nakakapagtataka kung bakit kayo pinagtatambal na ng masa. They think that you two will click."

"Alam ko naman 'yon. At alam kong wala rin sa lugar kung magagalit ako sa kanya at sa mga tao dahil wala naman talaga silang alam. But the timing isn't good at all. Mas gusto kong pinag-uusapan ako dahil sa capabilities ko. Not because of a potential loveteam arising between us."

"Well that's how media works. Alam na natin 'to bago tayo pumasok dito pero tinuloy pa rin natin. I guess let's just accept the consequences of our pursued dream."

Bahagya pa akong natawa at nailing. "All I wanted is to perform. I never knew that it will be this hard all along."

"Sometimes we really need to sacrifice a thing or two just to achieve our goal."

"But it is no way in my vocabulary that I'll sacrifice Aisle."

"One way or another, kailangan niyong mag-adjust na dalawa. Iba ang noon sa ngayon, Alaina. You are no longer an ordinary person."

I gave up a forced smile and didn't talk for more. Umalis na rin naman siya maya-maya sa tabi ko na siyang pinagpasalamat ko. I'm glad that she's talking to me about such issues but sometimes... I just want peace. That's all.

I've been hearing different noises with various voices in my entire life. Yet I never thought that I'll hear another one on something I didn't want.

Gaano ba kahirap na i-appreciate ako ng iba sa kaya kong ibigay? Siguro nga kung sa iba ay gustong-gusto nilang mangyari ito sa career nila given na relevant na pinag-uusapan ang kanilang mga pangalan pero hindi para sa akin?

I'll be known for me. Not because I am being paired to a famous one who is admiring me.

"I have so many good news to you." Ma'am Joan is wearing a wide smile as she approaches me.

Gusto kong gantihan ang ngiting mayroon siya ngayon pero hindi ko talaga magawa. Honestly. I am not even excited with the news she's bringing to me.

"Maraming brands ang nagreach out na kunin kang endorser. Bukod sa group branding niyo ay siguradong magandang way 'to para mas maboost pa ang popularity ng grupo niyo."

"Talaga?"

I smiled. It is real this time.

Totoong masaya ako sa balitang dala niya. At least I know that they see me as having a potential to be huge in this industry. Iyon naman talaga ang dahilan kung bakit may mga brands na gustong kunin ang isang baguhang katulad ko.
