Arabella

Letting out a big sigh of content, I rested my head against the top of the bathtub smiling at how good it felt.

I had never had a bath. I must have done when I was a baby, but since growing up, I only ever stayed in places that had stand up showers. But this was heaven.

Alec took me on a tour alone. I tried to convince Leon to come with us, but he said he needed to do something. I was worried me running away had upset him, but he eased my thoughts with a simple kiss on my head.

"I'll see you in the morning, love" he whispered before walking away.

Alec had given me a quick tour of the house, but I believe he missed a lot as he could sense I was tired.

And so here I am, having the best time in the most exquisite bathroom that belongs solely to me.

I will never forget the moment I opened up the cupboards in one of the many I had in the bathroom only to reveal expensive lotions, fancy hair products and bright coloured sweet smelling bath bombs.

I have a literal LUSH store in my own bathroom.

While I explored everything that had been placed in my bathroom, I remembered the way Alec was looking at me. He was admiring my every move.

Coming back to reality, I scooped up a handful of soap suds and blew them up in the air.

"Arabella?".

Letting out a light shriek at Alec's deep voice sounding from behind the closed bathroom door, I sunk down in the warm water fearful he'd walk in.

I was in such awe that I forgot to lock the door.

"I'm still in the bath" I called out hoping he wouldn't come in.

"I just came to say goodnight. I left you a couple of things on your bed" he called out from behind the door.

"Thank you!" I replied, my cheeks turning pink at his deep voice.

I still can't believe they're both mine.

"One more thing, I know this is your house, but never leave your bathroom door unlocked. You're safe with us, but it's not a good habit. Is that clear?".

Cowering at the stern tone in his voice, I quickly nodded my head only to realise he couldn't see me.

"Y-Yes, sorry" I replied feeling a little uneasy at the sudden change in his tone of voice.

"Don't be sorry, just be safe. Goodnight baby" his voice calmed to the soothing tone I had always known it to be.

Hearing him walk away, I frowned at the hint of fear in his voice.

Perhaps he's scarred by someone walking in on him whilst being on the toilet.

Laughing at the image of Alec squealing in fright like a little girl, I leaned my head back against the top of the bath and sighed.

I am no expert in understanding people and their emotions, but me leaving the door unlocked really spooked him.

Pushing the button for the water to drain, I stood up and instantly picked up the large towel robe I had laid on top of the closed toilet seat.

Wrapping myself up in it, I opened up the window before walking out to my bedroom.

And as I walked into the immediate warmth of my room, I felt my heart swell at what Alec had left me.

A steaming mug of milk, had been placed on my bedside table. I always have warm milk before bed. It helps me sleep. Yet, I never told them. How did they know?
