This is the longest chapter yet, I couldn't bring myself to splitting it. I hope you enjoy!

The path to the training hall was taken with little thought, Cordelia's mind so use to the path now that her body did it on autopilot. When she entered, the children were going through the motions of their routines with Ushar watching from the sidelines, giving tidbits of advice when it was appropriate. Cordelia took the stairs quickly as her eyes zeroed in on her son's smiling face.
Valour hadn't noticed her yet, but as she reached the bottom of the steps, she was dragged into an adjoining room. Her mouth opened in a shout as she rounded on Ap'Lek, who looked at her with a mask of emotion she couldn't place.
"What in the stars are you doing? Don't grab me like that!" She growled.
"Does he know?" Ap'Lek said, voice cold and unfeeling. The voice of the Knight of Ren, deadly and unfeeling.
"Does who know what?" Cordelia asked dumbly.
"Does Kylo know he has a son? Does Valour know who his father is? That he is here on this ship, right now?"
Cordelia looked Ap'Lek over, not entirely surprised he had put it together, but it didn't stop the bile from rising in her throat as her fear clouded her mind.
"You're insane. I told you, Valour has no father." She turned to storm out of the room, but Ap'Lek gripped her arm and pinned her to the wall with his body.
"Don't lie to me." He growled. "When we first had you both on our ship, Ushar had commented on the boy's looks, but there was no way for us to ever even consider he was Kylo's child. But this morning, the way you had acted when you realized we were in his chambers. The way he had recognized you in an instant. I realized how foolish we had been. That was why you had fought so fiercely to keep us from getting him, wasn't it?"
"You're. Insane." She almost spat the words.
"Do you know what midi-chlorian's are?" He asked.
"What?" Cordelia asked with a furrowing of her brow, shocked by his sudden change in topic.
"Midi-chlorian's are the building blocks of life. Microscopic force sensitive organisms that any force sensitive person has within them. When we first had you and Valour on board, the Night Buzzard, we tested you both. While you had a few thousand, Valour surpassed the Supreme Leader, going as far as to overshadow Darth Vader himself, who had the highest count in recorded history. I should have seen it, then. Should have known there was a reason for all of this." Ap'Lek stepped back, giving Cordelia room to breathe.
Cordelia spun to leave the room, but his hand on the door kept it sealed.
"You will tell him. You will tell Kylo of his son. Or I will. Trust me when I say the knowledge will be far better received from you than me."
"Let me go."
"You have until morning." He said as he lifted his hand, allowing her to slip out of the room and back into the training hall.
"Mom!" Valour shouted as he spotted her.
Cordelia quickly made her face into a mask of joy at the sight of her son.
'"Valour! We aren't finished!" Ushar called.
"I'm sorry, Ushar! I'll just be a moment." Cordelia replied to the man, who scowled but didn't press. She turned to her son and pulled him as far from the listening ears as she could.
"I need you to meet me by my chambers tonight." She whispered.
"For dinner? Of course, Vicrul had said we would join you again this week."
