Hi everyone! So sorry it's taken so long to update. Works been crazy and I just haven't had the time. Hope you enjoy!

In the past, Cordelia and Valour had gone to get their own food before being seated, but with Kylo's insistence, they were seated without food. She wondered for a moment if he was simply confused by the procedures in the dining hall, but a droid appeared with their meals before she could voice her concerns.

Valour eyed his father curiously without making it obvious. While Kylo wasn't looking at Valour, Cordelia had no doubt the Supreme Leader wasn't missing a thing. None of them spoke while they ate, Valour digging in with a voraciousness she hadn't seen from him before. It was only when they had finished did Kylo open his mouth to speak.

"Do you have any interests?" Kylo asked his son tentatively.

Valour looked at the mountain of a man across from him for a long moment before glancing to Cordelia for reassurance. She couldn't stop the small smile that played on her lips at the look, but she nodded her head in encouragement.

"I enjoy flying. We don't do it often, but every time mom finished on a craft, she would bring me for the test flight." His voice rose with excitement. "Mom's a crazy, good pilot. She could fly anything you put in front of her."

Cordelia felt Kylo glance over at her, a look of appraisal, but Cordelia was too busy taking in the sight of her son.

"I'll bring you to see my personal ship, if you'd like?" Kylo offered.

"Hmm." Their son mused. "Maybe."

Kylo's eyes jumped to Cordelia for support, and she wished she had a way to preserve that look for a lifetime.

"That's very kind. I would love to take a look at it." Cordelia said, nudging Valour with her elbow. "Valour is also a fan of droids."

"I enjoyed droids when I was your age." Kylo said. "I was given one on my-"

With a kiss on Valour's head, Cordelia muttered a soft goodnight to her son before slipping out of the barracks. Kylo was waiting silently in the hall, eyes lingering on the window, which allowed him the final glimpse of his son before he turned, leading Cordelia towards the training hall.

Dinner had gone over well. Valour had opened up to Kylo when topics of enjoyment were mentioned. The older man had stared down at the child across from him, hanging on every word that flowed from the boy's mouth. It was in those moment's Cordelia felt the most regret she had ever felt. The guilt weighing on her chest.

Kylo didn't say a word to her while they made their way into the training hall where all the Knights were waiting for them. Cordelia murmured something about meeting him back at his chambers when a force propelled her back to his side as he made for the Knights.

"Insufferable ass." Cordelia mumbled as she corrected her footing and moved to stand at Kylo's side as the men greeted him. Cordelia couldn't meet Ap'Lek's gaze, even when she felt the weight of his stare. She listened as they discussed the Knights' plans to follow a lead on the outer rim where there had been rumours of unrest. Corelia wondered what it would be like in this big ship without the Knights around, without the constant hum of their presence.

"Staying in the Supreme Leader's quarters now, how high you've clawed your way up." Cardo said from his place across from her, tone dripping with mirth.

At her side, Kylo was still - too still - as he watched his knight intently, but not saying anything.

"Jealousy doesn't suit you, Knight." Cordelia said through clenched teeth.
