It was officially the morning of the "games" that Grey kept talking about.
Everyone spent the night before trying to figure out exactly what the games were and what it would entail for them. To be honest, none of them felt prepared. Especially Red as she had a personal experience to just how cold and unfeeling Grey actually is.
They had no clue what awaited them. If only they knew exactly who they were dealing with, they would not have done the things that they have spent most of their adult lives trying to hide. They would have stayed completely away from what they did. They would have remained pure.
The group had tried to rest as Grey had suggested but that was extremely difficult to do as they were still bound to the poles. So it was just an uncomfortable night for all of them.
They decided to wait on Grey to arrive so that they could get it over with. During that time, they were all whispering and trying to get to know each other a bit more to pass the time. Some of them were even praying, hoping that they survived this mess.
After what appeared to be an hour, Grey arrived making their third dramatic entrance.
"It is time for the events to begin. Don't try to over power me because it will not work! I have a plan for that either way..." Grey talked in a gleeful manner, slightly clapping their hands. Grey brandished a gun out of thin air making sure all the participants had a clear view of it.
A couple of minutes later, another figure came in to the circular room dressed in a doctor's coat and their face was covered with a black ski mask that only gave them enough space to see and breathe.
Grey introduced this person as Dr. White.
Dr. White didn't speak. They only came to do their job, which was to sedate and help carry the participants to the Game Room. They did it efficiently and quickly showing that they were a true doctor. The participants were so shocked, they didn't put up a fight and were knocked out almost instantly.
"Hurry! Help me untie them and take them to the room, White. As you know, the sedation will not last more than 45 minutes and there are seven people with dead weight."
Dr. White still didn't respond. They hurriedly left the room and brought in two stretchers. They used those to lift up the bodies and carry them out of the room until they all reached the Game Room. Suprisingly, it took a little over fifty minutes and none of the persons even shifted to show that they were waking up.
They were let off the stretchers and propped up on the wall until they all gained back consciousness within ten minutes.
As they realized where they were, they became even more terrified than they were before. It was an almost full torture room, where many devices laid about. They looked around, trying to figure out exactly what they were going to have to do.
Grey cleared their throat to gain their attention,"I will give you all exactly ten minutes to drink some water and eat dry crackers. I may be heartless but I don't want you to die before my plans get completed! The catch? You have to find both of them! Your names are on them, it's in a little package," said Grey with a grin. The gun was still present in their hand.
Everyone perked up when they heard what Grey said. They even got ready to run, starting to stand up.
"The time starts now! You may go and find your packages...if you do, you're lucky! If you don't, well you can't help each other."
Everyone rushed off to find their packages. It was such a stampede of bodies tripping over each other to find their meager portions.
Violet shouted out,"If anyone finds anyone else's package. Please, tell them the location. We need to help each other as much as possible without physically helping!"
Several of the people willingly agreed out loud and the rest didn't really care. What they didn't know was that this was the first game.
Brown was the first one to find a package in one of the torture devices. This torture device was an old fashioned something. The only thing, it wasn't his own. It had Orange on it. Brown was so pissed that he decided to hold on to it for a couple more minutes and continued to search for his own.
The next person to find a package was Green. He found his own on the first go. He was so excited to see the small bottle of water and the pack of crackers. He actually wanted to cry with how happy he was! First, he decided to show the others how the package looked. Then, he dropped down to the ground and tore into both of the items.
"Six more minutes!" Grey called out.
One by one, everyone else found their packages except for Orange. He was about to start crying because less than five minutes remained. Until the selfishness of Brown came to light and everyone was rightfully upset. Suprisingly, even Grey was upset and that says a lot.
Everyone was so happy to eat and drink what little they had so much so that they wouldn't take life and its pleasures for granted ever again.
Grey calmly stated,"I like how everyone managed to get their packages and even strived to help each other. You did not know this but this was the first game. Everyone, except Brown, has successfully achieved 15 points each! Due to the bad-mindedness of Brown, you only have 5 points and you alone will remain in the Circle Room when it is time to return, if you survive. Due to how much points you have, the remaining participants have access to the Common Room! But, we are not finished! The second game begins right now!"
Brown wanted to protest but he knew it wouldn't have done him any good. He realized that he, foolishly, made himself a target with what he did.
