"Are you flattered by your siblings coming all the way here just for you?"
Yao asked to Harper.

"I am not, sir."

"As you should." The old man said with a smile of triumph on his lips. He has already trained the boy eversince young, not to be swayed by sentiments. For they are fake, and will only use you for their own wants.

"That Zachary had just broke inside this place and destroyed my experiments on his last conscious breath." He could feel the old man's frustration. "I'm afraid the plan would be delayed for a while. I have to start over again."

"So long as were clear with the goal sir."

"Mm." The old man nodded. "Do you have anything planned in mind as we wait?"

"I will save this boy right here, sir."

"And how does that lead to any good?"

"Getting the enemy's trust is one thing we could do to execute the plan at ease."

"Hmm.Then you better be careful. I shall leave him to you." said the old man and casually walked outside the laboratory with his cane. "You heard me, child." He said and glanced at Harper once again. "Be careful. Very, careful."

Harper knew he wasn't talking about being careful of the boy in the table. The old man is clearly warning him, to be very cautious with his decisions.

"Don't worry, I will." Harper said.

"Did you kill the old man?" agad na tanong ni Zyle nang mailabas ni Harper si Zac. They are currently inside the car na ginamit nila Zyle para makarating sa lugar na iyon.

"Zei, are you really aware how this thing works?" tanong ni Zyle after we almost bumped to a tree for the nth time.

I sighed deeply. Actually, wala rin akong alam kung paano idrive ang sasakyan. I was just so preoccupied kaya nagvolunteer nalang ako. I can't let Zachary die.

"Stop the car, I'll do it." saad ni Harper na katabi ko.

"No, I'll do it. Baka mas malala ka pa magdrive kesa sakin—hey!"

"Move." aniya at napilitan akong umurong sa upuan pagkatapos niyang tumabi. Great, now dadalawa na kaming nakaupo sa isang upuan.

"I can't believe it. I'm still alive!" Zyle shouted in glee after we finally reached the Dragon's quarters. Grabe ha. It's not like we're such a bad driver. Muntik lang naman kaming mahulog sa bangin. Note, muntik lang. We didn't actually fell.
