"But— but why?" Wendy's voice was shaking. She couldn't believe it. The friend she mourned and cried for, is on the opposite sides from her.

"Balita ko may masaya ka na palang pamilya. Masaya ako para sayo" she smiled. "But at the same time, I don't know if you deserve it." Her voice changed all of a sudden, to a tone full of rage and bitterness.

"Were you the root to all of this?" Wendy asked, still with surprised expression.

"No, Wendy. You, you all are the root to all of this." Kaycee said, with a louder voice.  "Nakalimutan mo na ba? Ikaw, kayo ang dahilan kung bakit  halos sampung taon akong nawala sa mundong to." —Her eyes flinched as she spoke.— "Imagine. An innocent girl, going to China para magkaroon ng magandang buhay. Isang babae na walang muwang, nadamay sa away ng dalawang pamilya."

"Kaycee I'm sorry.."

"Punung puno ako, — kami ni mama ng pangarap noon. Pero anong nangyari? Lahat yon nawala. Alam mo ba kung anong nangyari sa nanay ko pagkatapos ng 'aksidente?." She made a long pause. "Nagpakamatay siya." She said, staring intently at her. "At kahit kailan, hinding hindi ko mapapatawad ang mga taong sumira sa buhay namin."

"Apologies for the interruption, someone wants to join the scene." The other woman stepped close. Her voice was so familiar. And Wendy has already expected it from the start.

"I knew it was you" Wendy said to the woman who once came in and out her house. She can't believe she actually let this woman be with her family for months. Wendy scoffed. "There must be a reason why you are doing this, but including my kids with your foul plans, is not a very good decision."

"Hah!" Carol, the once who became their nanny spat. "What, you're gonna do something? You're gonna stand up with your wounded body and fight?" she laughed.

"Fortunately, I don't really have to do anything. But they, my heirs, will." Wendy smirked. She knows them, and she trusts them. "My children are far more clever than you think. Don't underestimate them."

"And you think I will feel threatened by that?"

"Its a warning, a caution, not a threat."

"Well I don't need it." Carol said, raising her hand and clapped. "Pasok!"

Two men with covered face came, carrying another man with them. He landed with a thud after they carelessly put him down. It was Deng Jiaxin.

Carol laughed. "Now who else isn't here? I can't wait to burn you all in hell."

"Kaycee, gagawin mo ba talaga samin to?" Jiaxin asked and Carol was the one to asnwer.

"At bakit hindi? You deserve all of it! Selfish, greedy creatures."

"Kaycee we always treated you as a friend. And right now, I don't think ito ang dapat mong ginagawa."

"Hah, at anong gusto niyong gawin nya? Makipagreunion sainyo? Party party?" It was still the CEO who answered when Kaycee finally spoke.

"Tao rin ako Deng Jiaxin. Nasasaktan, nakakaramdam rin ako ng galit. Kung sinomang Kaycee iyong nakilala niyo noon, kalimutan niyo na."

"You're seriously join forcing with this lunatic woman huh?" Wendy's jaw clenched. "I would understand if you're mad, but joining with someone like her?"

"Dahil siya ang tumulong saakin para makasama kong muli ang anak ko."

"Kaycee, Cayleigh is not your real daughter." Deng Jiaxin revealed.
"Her real mother is Carol."

Carol seems taken aback. "A-ano bang sinasabi niyo?!"

"You tricked her, didn't you? Niloko mo sya to turn her into your ally."

"Anong ibig nilang sabihin, Carol?" Kaycee asked. "Pagkatapos manganak, nagising ako na wala sakin ang anak ko. Sinabi mong may sumubok pumatay sa anak ko at ikaw ang nagligtas sakanya."

"Ganon nga. At nararapat lang na tumanaw ka sakin ng utang na loob. Niligtas ko ang anak mo. Ano, naniniwala ka ba sa sinasabi ng mga mamamatay taong to?"

"She's manipulating you, Kaycee." Jiaxin said. "If so, sinong tumangkang tangayin ang anak nya?"

Carol pointed her finger immediately to an old man. "Sino pa nga ba? Ang mga Yao!"

"Blames on me again." Yao sighed.

"A bitter world it is, my friend." Li Fei said in compassion, patting his former friend's back.

Oh so the two oldies are now friends. Wendy thought.

As the tension grew, a new silhouette came. It was a young girl.

"Oh, Cayleigh!" salubong agad ni Carol. "Come here at sabihin mo sa Mommy Kaycee mo na ikaw ang totoo niyang anak. Come on." She invited.

It was unthinkable that the lunatic, a mother herself is pushing her daughter off to someone.

The girl neared, but with a lowered head. "I'm sorry."

"What?"

"Mom, we can't keep lying forever." the girl said, staring at Carol.

Kaycee froze, the girl's words echoing in her ears.

'Mom'

'Lie'

Carol's face turned red in frustration.
"Ano bang sinasabi mo? Wala akong anak! Siya! Siya ang nanay mo! At ikaw, ito ang anak mo!"

"Mommy Kaycee, I'm — I'm so sorry... I never expected everything na umabot sa ganito."

"Nasaan sya. Nasaan ang totoong anak ko?" Bagsak ang balikat niyang tanong. Tila buong buhay niya ay namuhay lamang siya sa kasinungalingan.

"I don't know. But they're heading here."

"Sino?! Anong ibig mong sabihin?"

"It's our end mom. They're all coming here to take us down."

"Not gonna happen." The woman smiled. "I didn't ask for the Dragons alliance for nothing." She said looking on the large window beside them.

A dozen limousines came rushing towards Hyena company. After they parked, groups of men in dark suits revealed themselves.

Carol raised her phone. "Leave half of the men here. The rest...to the SDFJ's concert."
