Chapter 24

Samantha's POV

I woke up in my room late. Late because Ly is nowhere in here. I heard some rustling in the kitchen. Baka sya na yun.

Gumuhit yung sakit ng ulo ko dahil sa wine na ininom ko kagabi.

I sighed as I remember what happened last night. We actually didn't talk so di ko pa rin alam paano sya nakauwi sa kalagitnaan ng training. I just cried myself to sleep. Yung mga naipon ko na emotion ever since the start of that trial. And she just held me. Ni hindi ko na alam kung saan ba sya natulog. Di ko na naramdaman after.

I heard the door opened at sumilip sya.

"Hey. Gising ka na?" She said when she saw me awake.

Pero ansakit talaga ng ulo ko. "Ughh. Kung alam kong uuwi ka, di ako uminom." I said.

Narinig ko sya tumawa. "Bakit mo kasi sinunod sunod?"

I did not answer kaya lumapit sya sa kama at umupo sa tabi ko. Medyo nakadapa ako natulog kaya she rubs my back.

"May mefenamic ka ba dito?" Tanong nya.

Tumango lang ako.

"Breakfast?" Tanong ulit nya.

"How are you here?" I asked and I shifted my position kaya nakahiga na ako ng maayos tapos sya naman nakaupo sa tabi ng kama. She slightly leaned in to me.

She smiled. "Nakipagnegotiate ako."

"How?" sabi ko pa.

"Wag ka mag-alala, hindi ako nagquit sa NT. Baka pag ganun ginawa ko, kakarating ko pa lang dito, pabalikin mo na agad ako e." Ly jokingly said.

"Talagang paalisin kita." I said.

"Nagresign lang ako as team captain. Para bawas responsibility din. Tsaka hindi nila ako papayagan umuwi if captain pa rin ako." She said.

"Ayaw mo na ba maging team captain?" I asked.

"Hmm, okay lang. I mean, I'm still playing the sport. I'm there for my teammates. It actually doesn't matter if I am a captain or not. Tapos realizing now, mas less responsibility, mas may time ako."

"Kailan ka pa-Japan?" I asked again.

"Kakarating ko pa lang, tinatanong mo na agad kung kailan ako aalis." She pouted. She jutted out her lower lip.

And I gave her a small laugh. This may be the first time since yesterday.

"Kala mo cute ka dyan." I said but I reached out to trace the side of her face to make sure she's really here.

She leaned in and kissed my forehead, and I closed my eyes at the contact. She's really home.

Alyssa's POV

I really missed her.

After I kissed her forehead, I slightly moved so our faces are still close. Unti unti, she opened her eyes and they met mine. And I can't help but to glance on her lips and then back to her eyes again.

I slowly leaned in to kiss her.

"So kelan ka pabalik ng Japan?" she suddenly whispered.

Okay, maybe not.

I closed my eyes tightly and bit my lower lip as I put my forehead to hers. I kind of laugh out of embarrassment.

Then I moved away and I maybe an idiot, pero kumanta ako ng "oo nga pala, hindi nga pala tayo.." (Migraine by Moonstar88) hoping that she'll laugh at medyo mabawasan ang awkwardness.
