Chapter 27

Alyssa's POV

2 Days before the flight to Japan for the Asian Games.

Time: 10:00AM.

Nagchecheck ako ng schedule sa phone ko habang binubuksan ko ang malaking maleta na gagamitin ko sa isang buwan naming byahe sa Japan. Sam is in Under the Stars office at susunduin ko sya dun, then, we'll see Ate Bianca in Windstrike office naman. May meeting sila, di ako kasama pero meron kasi kaming presscon and send off dinner after with the National Team dun din sa Windstrike at around 6pm.

It's Thursday today. The National Team arrived last Saturday in the Philippines from Thailand and I've been training with them every morning but that's just it. Hindi ko pa sila masyado nakabonding din kasi umuuwi ako kaagad because nung Tuesday lang yung huling sched ng trial ni Sam.

Tuesday, the day we got together. Napapangiti pa rin ako pag naaalala ko yun. As much as gusto ko syang masolo ng Wednesday, hindi pwede kasi nagcelebrate kami with Albie and Ate B.

Flashback

"Staring is rude." Biglang nagsalita si Sam habang inaayos nya yung mga pinadeliver na food na panglunch.

"Sinusulit ko lang." I smiled said at lalo ko pa sya tinitigan. I am sitting in one of her highchairs sa kitchen counter.

She raised her eyebrow on me and gave me a small laugh. "Stop."

Binalikan ko sya ng pagtaas ng kilay. "Nope" And I jumped out of my chair at lumapit sa kanya. Nagbackhug ako and I kissed the skin at the back of her shoulders. She's wearing a top with spaghetti strap.

She stopped what she's doing and said, "Sorry na I will not come to Japan with you."

"Hmm?" I hummed in response.

"Are we okay?" she asked.

"Huh? Of course." Sabi ko na nakakunot yung noo ko. "Come here nga." I urged her to turn around so we are facing each other. I hold her firmly on her waist while her hands are in my shoulders.

I smiled at her. "Can't believe na I can do this, now, whenever I want to."

"Well, you can't do this on the next month or so." Banat nya.

I pouted.

"Stop that." She said. "So are we good?"

She's talking about our conversation a while ago. Tinanong ko kasi sya if gusto nya sumama sakin sa Japan for the duration of the Asian Games. It would be our travel din kasi pwede naman ako hindi sumabay pabalik and I can stay with her every after the event. Pero since nagstart na sila mag-ayos para sa launch ng Under the Stars, mabubusy daw sya.

"Oo naman. My games will bore you anyway." I said pero wala akong halong pagtatampo. Alam ko naman na pwede syang hindi talaga sumama especially if isa sya sa designer sa launch.

"Hindi ah." She said.

"I'm just kidding. Pero okay lang yun. I'll be back before you know it. Do your best here and I'll do my best there, remember?"

She smiled and whispered. "Okay."

"Okay." I leaned in and kiss her on the corner of her lips. Well, because I can. And she smiled at the contact.

"Baka kapag umabot kayo sa finals. Pwede ako pumunta." Sabi nya na ikinagulat ko.

"Really??!"

"Yeah, Luigi is actually pushing me to take a break pero parang nagbreak na ko nung trial kaya ayoko silang iwan sa prep. Pero if it's sa end of the month pa, pwede ako sumunod?"
