After my rather freighting experience with that demon I wish I could say I don't want to interact with Chara, but In honesty I've never wanted to talk to someone more in my life.
Her every word was enthralling and fascinating. Terrifying sure but she had gotten me curious. God knows what I do when I get too curious.
"I make stupid decisions that's what." I muttered to myself. I was outside the cave I spoke with Chara in and had been for quite some time. I've been waiting where Flowey left me for around half an hour.
While I spoke to the echo flowers and smiled every time they repeated my words back to me. "Hurry up Petals." I said to the flower.
'Hurry up Petals." Mirrored the flower.
I don't think I'll ever tire of the undergrounds wonders. "Are you done talking with those flowers now?" A high pitched voice said from behind me.
"Ah, you're finally back?" I retorted as I spun around to face the little monster. He looked up at me with annoyance.
"You try finding a boat hermit in an abandoned underground human!" He growled at me angrily.
"Yeah yeah, I'm sorry." I said sarcastically.
"And stop calling me Petals!" He barked at me with annoyance.
"Force of habit." I shrugged at him plainly.
He rolled his eyes and pointed with a vine to the exit of Waterfall, which led to Snowdin Town. "They're docked over there." He stated plainly before plopping into the dirt and reappearing ahead.
I followed my pollen pal until I was met with a robe cloaked monster riding a cat boat. I wonder if I were to describe this trip to someone if they'd think I'm on drugs.
"Tra la la." The monster said in melodic tone.
"I already payed for you so just hop on human." Ordered Flowey. There was no reason to go against this so I obeyed the flower monster.
"Tra la la, Off we go." It stated calmly as the boat... grew legs and sprinted down the river.
Am I actually on drugs?
I imagine Flowey will be in Hotlands before us seeing as he can burrow wherever he needs to be.
"Tra la la." Repeated the monster.
"What's that mean?" I asked more as a conversation starter then any genuine desire to know.
The tall being looked down at me, the shroud covering the things every feature. "Beware desire." It warned ominously.
That's quite on the nose River Person. "How do you..." I trailed off as it turned it's head away from me.
"Beware The Red Eyes." It stated more calmly.
Honestly this thing was beginning to creep me out so I was content not to talk to it any longer. As if it read this in me, the ride carried on in silence.
Eventually we made it to Hotlands. The name suited it. It must have been at least 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I stepped off of River Person's cat boat and thanked them for the ride.
It nodded and I began to walk towards the little yellow flower monster waiting in the middle of the plaza ahead.
Behind him what appeared to be elevators, to his right a large white building marked 'Lab;' and to the left a long path that I couldn't see the end to.
"Howdy!" He greeted, "Welcome to Hotlands."
"Yes, this place is great and all but let's leave as fast as possible."
