I don't think me nor Thazon have ever jumped up so fast to run outside. There were so many werewolves running around hurt, screaming and howling at the top of their lungs. What stopped me and Thazon in our tracks was Anilith being carried by another hybrid werewolf. He was unconscious as the one stopped so Thazon could lift Anilith off and onto a gurney. My heart was pounding as I followed him back into the hospital wing.

Anilith was covered in blood. It looked like his shoulder, lower abdomen, back and legs were bleeding badly. Thazon moved at lightning speed to set up everything that was needed. I just stood there frozen at the sight of my mate.

''Moriah.'' I was so zoned out. ''MORIAH!'' This time I snapped my eyes to look over at Thazon. ''Moriah go back to the treehouse. I will come to you when I have him stable. Now go.'' I turned and ran out.

Arriving back at the treehouse I was met by Scythe. He had been standing on the porch when I walked up the stairs. Tears stained my cheeks. ''What's wrong? What has happened?'' He asked gently grabbing my arms.

''He- he's......'' I started hyperventilating trying to form the words. Scythe pulled me into his arms, holding me close to comfort me. If I hadn't been a mess I would've pulled away from his icy cold touch.

He pulled me inside. The twins were sleeping in their cribs as he helped me to sit down on the couch. But they didn't stay that way though. So while I fed my little girl, Scythe rocked my son to keep him calm. I was grateful.

When I got the two back to sleep. Cleaned up the clothes I had on the floor. I think Anilith would be disappointed to see that I had clothes just laying on the floor. It took a couple hours, but at least looked nicer having the clothes in the dirty clothes hamper. After that I left the twins with Scythe as he didn't have a problem watching over them now that he had gotten accustom to their needs and wants.

I dreaded walking to the hospital wing. There were so many hurt and ones that had died. Thazon was in a private room. The room that he had Anilith hooked up to so many different machines. When he looked my way he sighed motioning me to come in. I did but it felt like I was walking in slow motion. It killed me inside to see my mate with a breathing tube.

''Moriah,'' Thazon said laying his hand on my shoulder. I hardly moved to look at him. I knew the news wasn't going to be good. But I nodded for him to tell me.

''He's very weak. He lost a lot of blood before arriving back here.'' He looked over at Anilith. ''I would love to tell you that he'll wake up like nothing happened.... But.... But right now that's not the case.'' I held back my tears. ''Right now it's touch and go Moriah. He's stable but I can't say that he'll stay that way.''

''Thank you Thazon,'' I said walking closer to Anilith's side. He looked so pale. I sat down next to him wanting to hold his hand but was scared to touch him. I'm not sure on why. Maybe because I was scared that I would hurt or mess something up.

''Moriah.'' I turned to see Thazon still standing in the doorway. ''You can touch him Moriah. You're not going to hurt him. I promise.'' I nodded and watched him leave.

Turning my eyes back to my mate, the tears started falling. The dark purple bruises forming under the breathing tube mask, his neck, chest and arms were horrifying. I could see where he had been grabbed because some of them were in the shape of fingers. Especially the ones around his throat and arms.

He was really cold to the touch. Anilith felt like how Scythe felt being a reaper. Thazon had four bags of blood hanging next to the two bags of fluids.

-M- my- my mate.- It was so low but there. I gently rubbed my finger against the part of his arm that wasn't bruised.

''I'm here,'' I said softly. As much as I loved to know that he was aware of me. I didn't want him to overdo himself. ''Don't speak. Save your strength Solar.''
