''Baby please,'' I said holding the twins closer to my chest. Anilith eyed me fuming but didn't move or speak. I just had a feeling Scythe was shifting comfortably behind me. ''Baby please.''

Anilith lowered his eyes down to the bed. The twins were fussing. But I noticed that the both of them were trying to look back at their father. He, being careful placed his hands on their heads shushing them with a low voice. His breathing was shallow but was becoming regular.

''I'm so sorry baby.'' He looked up at me. His eyes retreating back to just being black. ''I'm so sorry I lost my temper.''

I accepted his apology and the three of us talked it out like adults. Anilith didn't like that Skylar was Scythe's mate. But like me he calmed down to the idea and eventually accepted it. While we held Tempest, Scythe walked around with Skylar. Though every so often would Anilith look up to watch him. He was very protective over his children, especially his little girl.

''You know he'd never hurt her,'' I said snuggling closer to Anilith. He was starting to feel normal again.

He leaned closer resting his head on mine. He had Tempest laying on his chest asleep. ''I know he wouldn't. I'd kill him if he ever hurt our little girl.'' Scythe turned with a smirk on his face.

''Oh don't worry Anilith.'' Anilith raised an eyebrow waiting for him to continue. ''I'd kill myself long before you could get ahold of me if I hurt her. I'd make sure it was painful. So you don't have to worry about that.'' He rocked Skylar walking back and forth at the foot of the bed. We both chuckled.

When a few days had passed Thazon finally released Anilith from his care but still didn't want him to do much but rest. Yeah he was grumpy about having to rest for all this time. Both me and Thazon had to argue that it was best and that if he didn't...... well I may or may not have threatened to leave him if he didn't listen to us. His eyes widened to my threat like how could you even say that. And before you ask, no I wasn't going to leave him. I just wanted to scare him.

Getting back to the treehouse. Scythe was with the twins in the living room. Anilith hadn't said a world since we left the hospital wing and Thazon gave him one more shot of painkillers.

Settling him up in bed was easy. I propped him up with pillows and covered him with his fleece blanket. I put some books next to him on the nightstand. I tried picking the ones that were his favorites.

''Please don't leave me,'' I heard Anilith's voice come from behind me as I reached the door.

''I only said it to scare you baby.'' I looked back at him. ''I would never leave you. I just wanted to you listen to what Thazon was telling you.''

Anilith looked at me for a moment. ''I know,'' he said playing with the top of the blanket. ''I just.'' I knew where this was going. He took my threat to heart. So not allowing him to say anything further, I walked over to him and put my arms around him.

''Ssshhhh, sshhhh.'' I held him close to me. I gently rocked him. ''It's okay. It's going to be okay Anilith.''

''Please,'' he whispered. His warm breath hitting my chest. ''Please don't leave me. Please don't leave me Moriah.''

Grabbing his face I brought his eyes up to look at me. ''You listen to me.'' He blinked his eyes quickly. ''I'm not and will never leave you Anilith. I've already told you this months ago. I'm not going anywhere. I love you to much to just leave you like that.'' His arms tightened around my waist. ''Do you understand!?''

He nodded slowly. ''Yes baby I understand.''

''Good,'' I replied smiling. I pushed some hair out of his eyes before kissing his forehead. He purred holding me closer to him.
