Chapter three

The journey so far to our honeymoon was actually rather fun, I got to know Henry better and he was actually a very nice person to be around, not that I doubted him to be, though normally when a man is insanely attractive there is a catch.

So far, no catches.

"You dribble when you sleep by the way"

My face went completely red, this man. "I do not dribble" I stated sternly, my arms crossed.

Henry shrugged as we sat in the limo, going towards our holiday home. "I should know, I had to wipe my shirt multiple times"

I snapped my head to look at him, surely if he had dribble on his shirt that means I had been sleeping on him?

"Yes you slept on me multiple times Melanie, it was adorable" Henry teased before I could reply, as if he could read my mind.

My hand instinctively shoved his shoulder, not that it did anything to move him as he is basically a stone statue. "I am not adorable"

Henry raised a brow at me, questioning my gesture as well as my comment "are you more concerned that I called you adorable rather than sleeping on me ?"

Shaking my head a small laugh escaped my lips "I am your wife, I am sure there will be worse than me dribbling on your shirt. But no, I am not adorable. You don't use such childish words with a lady" I gave him a small wink, my eyes staring into those pools of blue.

"A lady?" Henry scoffed "lady's don't dribble"

Before I could reply Henry turned himself to look at me better, his blue eyes now staring back. "..I am fully counting on there being worse situations"

There was a moment of silence making the atmosphere slightly change in the limo, the realisation hit me again with what situation we were in. A forced marriage when our hearts laid elsewhere, it was a sad situation and I felt immensely apologetic towards Henry as I did on our wedding night.

"Are you okay?" Henry queried, his voice now laced with concern and that cheeky smile now washed away with a stern look.

I nodded, trying to hold back the tears that were beginning to well up in my eyes, this was just so truly unfair on us. It wasn't too late to stop all of this.

"Why didn't we do more to stop the arranged marriage? I mean we don't love one another Henry, we barely know one another...."

A single tear decided to cascade down my face, my hand instinctively going to wipe it away just as quickly as it had appeared.

"I just feel sorry for you, for us. You don't need to put up with this. Especially if it's just for your pride and to make your family happy..."

Henry stiffened beside me, as if I had reopened a wound. It seemed like he had also forgotten the situation we were in, but it had to be spoke about.

"It's not that easy Melanie... my family arranged this so long ago with your family. I am not one to disobey what my family want for me. Even if it's not something I am happy about"
