Chapter twenty nine:

Henry POV

It had been a few hours now since landing, Kal was scraping at my leg wanting to be let off the lead but of course we were currently in the middle of nowhere and to chase after an eccentric pup didn't seem a good idea. My rucksack was becoming heavy on my back and I was frantic to just lay down and get some rest.
Luckily I somehow avoided the paparazzi; it was as if I was in incognito mode. Though maybe it's because I wore blacked out sunglasses in the middle of winter- with a cap lowered across my forehead; perhaps people were just wary of me.

My blue orbs landed upon a coffee shop which I without a second thought raced to, Kal almost tripping over my haste movements. The sweet smell of coffee was enough to ignite a firework inside of me- how I was desperate for a cup of coffee. I had been walking around for hours- searching the depleted countryside. The door on the coffee shop sounded with the iconic bell sound, earning a look from the people inside. I was sweating at this point, thick droplets smothering my forehead with the cap and glasses still on.

"Sorry sir but dogs are not allowed in here" One of the Scottish folk spoke, his voice thick with his accent. His face is skinny with a face full of greyed stubble and short- shaved at the sides hair.
"Please I have been walking for hours- my little friend needs a drink too" pointing to Kal who tilted his head to the side.
Sighing the man looked at me and Kal with pity, crouching down he began to pet him. "Okay but say he is an assistant dog if anyone asks" The man whispered, his voice stern which rocketed some nerves through me, yet I was grateful. Nodding gleefully a wide smile printed on my cheeks "yes of course. Don't you worry"

Sitting down at one of the tables I finally was able to remove the heavy rucksack, tying Kal's lead to the chair leg. "Can I have a cappuccino and a bowl of water please" with that the man whisked off to prepare the hot beverage and Kal's very own drink too. My thoughts now clouded on what the hell I was going to do next. Clutching the photo I looked at it intently; trying to work out the surroundings. So it was obvious that no houses were nearby- only one building in particular which was a chocolate box bungalow with a thatched roof. Around the building was just a big open field.

The barista passed me my drink and also placed Kal's bowl of water on the floor which he sapped up happily, not getting enough of the cold beads of water. Nodding in thanks he turned on his heel which I quickly stopped him. "Sorry to be a bother, but do you recognise this place?" Raising an eyebrow the barista grabbed the photo that I outstretched "yes... I do"
The biggest grin grew on my face which made the barista look rather concerned; his reaction earned me a look in the psych ward. "The lady who lives there is called Dorothy. She is a lovely lass. She is alone though, her husband died a few years back. Why did you want to know?"
Taking the photo back I put it in my jacket pocket "my wife, she didn't tell me where she was going but this is her and the lady you mentioned-Dorothy in the photo, I'm trying to find her to make sure she is okay"
The barista nodded in understanding, sitting opposite me. "Well boy- you're not too far away. I'll take you. It's only a ten minute drive away. I used to be good friends with Dorothy"
