New Home and New Friends

Entering back into the weird land that we have yet to name, I was starting to get tired. I've been back and forth through the tree 10 times as we all have been getting personal stuff along with some other stuff such as some tools and more cleaning supplies. That was most of yesterday and now it's our third day here.

Grabbing the four paint cans I started to walk over to our area. I knew we were going to be needing more paint but this is all we can do for now. Crossing the shallow river I made it to the clearing and set the paint in front of the Care House, and that's what it's actually called after we cleared all of the vines off.

Going to some of the medium pens that were under the tree house I looked in and saw each animal we rescued. We also gave them all a bath when we had the time and I could properly see the colors of the other four. The one who rescued Liam was a brown and blue bellied and wing tipped male which was given the name Mustang. James had a red female named Ruby that seemed to be a subspecies with two tails that have yellow webbing between them. Via's was a gray male that she named Smoke who was also a subspecies that had wings more like a flying squirrel. Milly was caring for a light blue male named Skywing.

As I walked by I looked in each pen either finding them asleep or drinking water, we still had to find out what they ate. Slightly shaking my head I started to hear something in the woods coming toward us.

Quickly I grabbed the pocket knife I always carry on me and Liam ran over with me from the Care house. He had the sword from the poacher still and aimed. Sharing a look we both walked forward until we saw three figures come out from the forest. One was a humanoid squid girl that looked pretty young and almost seemed Liam and I's age. The boy next to her also seemed close in age but he looked completely human with tanned skin and dark black hair, with dreamy green eyes, but he had wolf ears and a tail. Liam nudged my shoulder when he saw me looking at the male more than I should have, so I looked to the third figure who looked to be a humanoid albino badger lady. She seemed pretty old and wise from her looks.

"Who are you and why are you on our land?" Asked the squid pointing a sword at us.

"My name is Abbylee and this is my cousin Liam, but I'm called Abby." I said, stepping forward. "We are here with Liam's brother James and our other cousins Via and Milly. We just want to help the few animals that are here."

"We've kind of noticed there aren't that many." Liam scratched the back of his neck.

"If what you say is true," the male stepped forward, "Then was it you who took down the Quillats who came into our village talking about being taken down by kids?"

Liam and I shared a shocked look. Has no one really done nothing to help this planet? Looking back at the three the badger stepped up.

"When we heard those fool's talking we three decided to find the ones responsible." She talked while circling us. "My name is Jabnelsa, I'm known as a great healer to all." Jabnelsa stopped and walked over to the other two and rested her hands on their shoulders. "Nadel here is my apprentice in the healing arts along with being the princess of this land. Hondu is a warrior that protects our village from falling into chaos. If your intent is to help save our animals then we shall help you."

"Thank you." I smiled, still wary of them.

Jabnelsa nodded and smiled and she started to walk around. Hondu and Nadel followed us as Liam and I led them over to the Care building the others were cleaning. Entering I saw they were making huge progress as the front room was spotless. In the back with the room's I could see my cousin's going in and out cleaning.

"Guys come here." I called. They stopped what they were doing and walked over to us and looked at Nadel and Hondu with curiosity. "This is Hondu and Nadel, they came with a friend named Jabnelsa to help us."
