Looking at all the animals in shock I immediately ran out and started grabbing them and putting them in pens. There were 10 small animals of all the same kind, and 10 big ones of the same kind. Once they were all in pens I grabbed my book I started to create and added the two new animals.
The small animal was about the size of a monkey from my world. I felt like I should call it a Floufla. It was very fluffy, had 2 pairs of arms that had webbing between them, 1 pair of legs, a long brown tail with a teal colored floof ball. They were all a very cute shade of lavendier.
The medium animal had a head and face similar to Wolfrons but the color was brown, and had short antlers that were dark brown on the edge and light brown in the middle. This one felt like it was called a Sheool. Their head and paws were a brown color but their body color was different for each. There was a female yellow, white, teal, dark purple, and pink, and a male brown, red, black, blue, and green.
Feeling someone look over my shoulder I looked behind me and saw Jason looking at the pages with his tail flicking around.
"What's this?" He asked.
"Hondu told us how books of the animals were burned so I'm making a new one myself." I said and stood up.
Soon I saw Via and Milly run over and look at the cute fluffy animals. I smiled as I saw them go into the pens and pet them and try to feed them.
"I remember last night how you told me you needed rope-like material to 'crochet' and these animal pelts are mainly used for that." Jason said and I frowned. "But I can think of a way to get the fluff off them in a safe way."
I saw him go to a bag that was next to Crystal's pen and grab a weird contraption. It looked like a cone with a handle on one of the sides and a small crank with a finger hold on the other. He handed it to me and I saw he also grabbed what seemed to be a small knife. Going into the pen with a purple and blue Sheool I saw him gently cut off the floof of the back of the animal. I figured that how to shear this stuff. After he got a good handful of it he left the pen and came back over and took the cone thing from me.
He inserted the floof from the bigger hole and used the crank to make the other one smaller. Then he used the thing on the other side and I saw the floof start to go through and change from a big pile of fluff to what seemed to be yarn. I took it in my hands and looked at it in amazement.
"That's so cool." I said.
"I figured you would like it," Jason smiled at me, petting my head, "Should we make more?"
"Yes." I was happy and excited.
Jason went back into the pens and continued to gently take off the fluff. As he made big piles of it I started to take some and use the machine to turn it into yarn. It didn't take long for there to be more piles of fluff than yarn and I was quickly overwhelmed and trapped under them as Jason just threw it over to me. I smiled and giggled as I relished in the softness of this material.
Standing up I got out of the pile and looked around, there was so much. Thinking this should be good I started to organize the colors in their own pile and put it at the base of my tree house. Seeing Crystal make her way over I smiled and petted her nose.
"You think you can carry some of this up girl?" I asked her.
She let out a bark and flew up taking huge pawfulls of the material and going up to the tree house.
"Why is there so much fluff?" I heard Nadle say as she walked over.
Turning around I saw Nadel and Hondu walking over and looking over this area with shock. Putting the last bit near the base of my tree house I walked over and I saw Jason stopped what he was doing and came over here as well.
"This is my first Mate gift for Abby." Jason said proudly, swishing his tail.
Kind of embarrassed, I looked over at Hondu's and Nadels faces. Nadel smirked at me and I could tell she was thinking about earlier when I asked about the mating process. Hondu however looked a little bit shocked and upset.
"Well I think you got enough fluff Jason." Nadel said with a smirk. "We should probably bring it all up to Abby's tree house.
Smiling, we all took great armfulls and we were able to carry the rest up. Making a huge pile of it in a corner we set it down and I looked at it happily. Going back down I saw my Via and Milly carrying some of the bunatts to one of the small outdoor pens.
"What are you doing?" I asked as I walked over.
"Too many were in the care house." Via said.
"It started to get too crowded with all the babies." Milly finished.
Smiling and rolling my eyes I started to wonder where Hazel had gone. Last I remember she was in the barn before the big battle with Claw. Turning around I made my way into the barn and started to look around. Soon I was able to find her under one of the couches, with babies.
Letting out a sigh and smiling I reached down and started to grab them and bring them out. Once they were where I looked at them. Hazel's babies were either white or brown and were all so small and cute. Hearing someone walk over I looked behind me and saw Milly.
"Did Hazel have babies?" She asked, smiling and sitting next to me.
"Looks like she did." I smiled. "Help me bring them to the Bunatt pen?"
She nodded and helped me carry them back.Putting them back in the pen I saw we still had a lot of them here. We should probably put half of them in the big area behind the pens so they can get back to the wild. Hearing some more food steps I looked behind me and saw Jason, Hondu, and Nadel. They all looked into the pen and I heard Nadel awe at them and Jason made a sound that seemed like he was in deep thought.
"I have an idea to speed up your breeding process." He said. "It's a bit controversial but it might work."
"What is it?" Hondu asked him warily as I looked at them.
"Fasta and Banlorp." Jason said rubbing the back of his neck, and I saw Hondu and Nadel looked at him surprised and shocked. "That's why I said it was controversial."
"I'm sorry but I'm confused, fill me in?" I asked.
"Banlorp is a food the poachers feed animals to get them to breed." Hondu said. "The chemicals in it get them in the mood basically."
"And Fasta is a food they make to speed up the growth." Nadel said looking sad. "These two foods are used by poachers so they have an endless supply of animals, and too much of either will have negative effects on animals."
"Actually that's false." Jason said, frowning at them. "The old books say otherwise."
"How would you know?" Nadel said, frowning and scowling at him. "Your kind burned all the old books throughout the land and even the royal library!"
"We didn't burn all of them." Jason said frowning, "We kept some and learned from them, abusing the knowledge we got. It only seems like those foods had negative effects because poacher groups hardly care for the animals in the first place."
"I think we should try it." I said earning shocked looks from Hondu and Nadel. "But if we do start to notice negative effects on the animals we will stop, if we don't then we know Jason's telling the truth."
I said the last part smiling at Jason and he smiled back. Hondu and Nadel didn't look pleased but didn't protest either.
"So where do we find this food?" I asked, smiling.
