Fastening Crystals saddle bag I looked behind me at my cousins as they readyed there Wolfrons. Getting on Crystal's back I helped Jason up and looked at everyone.
"You all know where to go?" I asked them.
"Milly and I go to a fruit and berry grove." Via said, smiling at me.
"And Liam and I go to the volcano fields." James said smiling.
Smiling and nodding we all left the pens and started in our separate ways. We flew up over the land and Jason once again told us which way to go, this time for the special new fruit. As we flew up I started to wonder, if it could help animals mate, would it have the same effects if either Jason or I ate it?
"Jason?" I asked.
"Yes Kitty?" He said gripping my waist a little tighter, and I just smirked and rolled my eyes.
"Would this Banlorp have the same effects on us as it does with the animals?"
"Naw, just the animals. We can still eat it though, it tastes pretty good actually." He said as I looked behind me and saw him smiling with his eyes closed.Opening them he smiled at me and then reached to the side of me and pointed. "There's the grove."
Turning back around I saw where he pointed and we landed. Crystal gilded us down and I smiled at her as I got off. Petting her nose and kissing it I took a huge glass from her saddle bag. Taking out one of my amethyst throwing knives I set the jar down and started to pick the fruit, then I brought it over to the jar and cut it into pieces.
"You sure the pieces will have the same effect rather than the whole thing?" I asked as Jason picked some more.
"Yep." He said come over. "Maybe after we take down my 'father' I can grab the book that talks about them."
Hearing some small paw steps I looked over to my side and saw a cute small animal going over to a low hanging fruit. Seeing another come out I saw they were each eating it. Hu, so the animals also eat them on their own accord without being fed it by someone else. Hearing more larger footsteps coming from the opposite direction I looked up and saw a silhouette of two Quillats. Looking back at the small animals they quickly jumped into a bush.
Standing up from the jar I looked around me and saw Jason kind of far off picking more from another tree. Soon the Quillats came over into this area and I looked at them shocked.
"Oh what do we have here?" One said smirking at me, then I realized he was the one who tried to burn down the spirit village. "You again."
Quickly I reached for one of my throwing knives but I was grabbed from behind. I looked over at Jason and he looked over here with a smile but quickly frowned. He raced over here and tackled the one behind me pinning him down. Falling back I fell on my bum and I looked up and saw Jason in front of me on all four in a protective stance.
"Ah Jason." said the head Quillat. "Your father told me about your betrayal, didn't know it was for a mate."
"Leave Gordor." Jason snarled.
"Fine, but just watch your back." Gordor turned to leave and the other followed him.
Trying to get over my fear Jason turned to me and helped me up. Once I was he brought me into a hug and I hugged back.
"Are you hurt?" He asked, we pulled back and he let out a small gasp and I looked at him confused. "You got a cut across your neck."
He ran over to a stream and I saw him grab some blue algae and bring it over. Bringing it up to my neck I looked at him surprised but I soon relaxed as I felt it actually was quite soothing. Smiling, Jason took it off and he looked at my neck again.
"Ok it's sealed." He said, "You should be fine for now."
Smiling up atJason I kissed his cheek and quickly turned around and started to cut up some more of the fruit. As I did I heard Jason chuckle and he went back to picking. Continuing to cut the fruit I saw the same small animals as before and even more come out. I smiled at them as I filled the last jar and put it in Crystal's saddle bag, as she tried to play with the small creatures.
"Ok I think we got enough." I said turning to Jason.
"I think so too." He said walking over to Crystal.
"Crystal time to go girl." I said, gaining her attention.
She looked at me and whined and looked down at the small creatures and I got a good look at them. They looked like a cross between a cat and a chihuahua. All of them were around Crystal's legs and paws and were rubbing against her making a cute purr sound.
"They can come." I told Crystal as she let out a happy bark and flapped her wings in joy.
Smiling, I picked up a brown female, and a gray male as Jason picked up 2. Getting on Crystals back we flew up a few feet and Crystal picked up the remaining four with her paws. Having the food and new additions we made our way back to the base.
As we flew, the 2 I was holding had their tongues sticking out and were smiling as they felt the wind in their face. I laughed a bit seeing that I looked forward. Making our way over the trees I soon saw the base in sight.
We didn't land in the center and instead flew over to the small pens and Crystal flew over one and gently put the four she was carrying down. Once she landed next to it Jason and I put down the ones we were holding as well. Turning around to leave we made our way into the barn and put the jars of food we have away.
"I was hoping you would be back soon." Jabnelsa said from behind, scaring me again.
"Jabnelsa!" I cried.
"Sorry Miss Abby." She said with a sweet smile, "I don't mean to startle you."
"It's ok." I said.
Just then I saw all my cousins come in and they came over to us and put away what they had gathered.
"Good, you're all here." Jabnelsa said, We all shared a look and she motioned for us to sit at the table that was near her. "I have noticed something in you as you spend more time in this land. I first noticed it when you saved the spirit village from burning, when you healed the land."
"Oh yeah." Liam said. "That was cool."
"Yes it was." Jabnelsa nodded at him. "Sometimes the spirits of our land find creatures to join with to help our land and great powers too. I believe they have chosen all of you. You all have your individual powers but you also have powers together, that's how you heal the land."
"Wait." Liam said. "How do we know what spirits we're connected with?"
"Some are easy to tell, some are hard." Jabnelsa said smiling. "Luckily you are all joined by the element ones that are easy to see. Abby has the leader spirit, that's how you connect so easily with the animals. Liam has the spirit of the earth, that's why you're so good with herbal medicine. It comes from the earth. James has the spirit of fire. Like it your hot tempered and raging. Via has the spirit of the air, that's why you are so patient and flexible if things go wrong. Milly is the spirit of the water, like it you are fun and exciting, never know what you're going to do next."
"Why are you telling us this?" Via asked.
"I have found our land is hurting more than I realized." Jabnelsa frowned holding her stick closer, "It has expanded from our animals to the land. Water is becoming less and less, the earth is dying more and more, the volcano and hot fields are becoming cooler, there's less and less wind and weather. In order to heal these areas of our land you all need to go to these parts and not only help the animals but also help heal the land with your spirits. You all also connect with certain animals better than the others. Via connects with birds, Milly with water creatures, James with the animals of the hot fields, Liam with the plains, and Abby with the forest."
