Chapter 40 - Kakashi-sensei = Lazy Bum

Normally, I would have bonked him on the head and scolded him, but this time I let it slide.

"Hey...Who's up for some ramen? It's on Kakashi-sensei!" I grin cheekily.

Kakashi-sensei facedpalmed. "Just because I'm treating you guys doesn't mean you can invite people to spend my money...." He complained.

"I'm coming!" Kohonamaru and Grandpa chorused.

In the end, I sweatdropped as Naruto finished his 24th bowl and Grandpa ended up helping Kakashi-sensei pay.

Chapter 40 - Kakashi-sensei = Lazy Bum

Kumiko's P.O.V.

I stretched after a long training session. 'Oh, it's morning already.' Walking home, I realized it was exactly two weeks after I 'revived,' or whatever. When I reached home, I changed clothes, brushed my teeth, and walked down to Naruto's floor.

"Hey Naru-kun?! You up yet?" I called, knocking on his door.

After a while, he finally opened his door. "Yeah..." He yawned, looking sleepy.

Smiling, I petted his head. "We'd better get Sasu-kun too. Although, knowing him, he's probably already up."

"Can we not, just for once?" Naruto asked sleepily. "He's annoying."

Rolling my eyes, I dragged him downstairs. "Nope. You wouldn't want us to forget you, would ya? Hey Sasu-kun, open up!" I called, knocking on his door.

"Hmph." He frowned as I knocked on his face again. "That's the second time this week. You know, after a year of this I would think you wouldn't knock on people's faces anymore."

"Haha, sorry." I sweatdropped. "Let's just go meet Saku-chan and Kakashi-sensei."

After greeting Sakura, we waited for about two hours, before Kakashi-sensei finally showed up.

"Well...Good morning, everyone!" Kakashi-sensei greeted cheerfully, appearing on top of one of the bridge's arches. "Today I got lost."

"Lies." I scoffed. "What type of ninja would you be, getting lost after living here so many years? Even Naru-kun..." I ruffled Naruto's hair. "...Doesn't get lost."

"Err, I crossed a black cat?" Kakashi-sensei sweatdropped.

"You were perfectly fine with the ones in the Land of Waves. During our mission there, we passed several black cats, and you were perfectly fine. By the way, they commented that your hair was funny looking. Just saying." I shrugged.

"I was helping old ladies with their groceries?"

"Nope. It is currently around 7:00 a.m. right now. The earliest time any supermarket or grocery shop open in Kohonagakure is 7:00 am, so if anyone were to do some shopping, it would be right about now. Shopping for groceries about thirty minutes to an hour or two, so no way. The earliest shop that opens is the weapon shop, which is at 4:30 a.m." I smiled, a tad bitterly. "With my insomnia, sometimes you'd rather do something else besides training and being at home. So, believe me when I say I've checked all of Kohona." I smirked slightly now. "So face it, Kakashi-sensei, you're just a lazy bum."
