Chapter 23 - "I Hold The Key To Your Death, Old Man."

Recap: 

"Sasuke's right!" Sakura nodded. "The four of us are one!"

"Hmm? So the four of you are one?" Kakashi-sensei said lazily, jumping down to us. "Well then, I have only one thing to tell you....." He immediately lost his lazy attitude and darkened, bending down to our height.

We held our breath in suspense.

"You pass!" He chirped cheerfully.

We all had looks of dumbfounded surprise on our faces.

 

Chapter 23 - "I Hold The Key To Your Death, Old Man."

Kumiko's P.O.V.

I blinked several times, processing the information. 'Oh, we passed. What? Oh, we passed!' A joyous grin found its way on my face. "Yosh!"

"Wait, what?" Sakura questioned him.

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!" Naruto asked, also in confusion.

"You. Pass." Kakashi-sensei repeated brightly.

"We pass? Wait, how?" Sakura asked in confusion. 

"Oh, hush Sakura-chan, we passed! Let's celebrate a little before asking any questions." I smiled at her.

Kakashi-sensei and Sakura sweatdropped at me. "You guys are the first." Kakashi-sensei began. "Up until now, it was always just dunces who would meekly listen to what I said. A ninja must see through deception..." Kakashi-sensei stated. "In the world of Ninja, those who break rules and codes are branded as garbage... But... Those who don't cherish their friends are garbage worse than that."

I smiled softly. 'I agree....' 

"He's.... He's... kinda.... cool..." Naruto sniffled, tears brimming in his eyes.

I jumped a little as the alarm clock rang. 'I forgot about the alarm. Oops. Well, I guess it doesn't matter anyways, since we passed.''

"That's it for the exercise...." Kakashi-sensei drawled, ignoring the ringing alarm. "Everyone passes! Team Seven starts their mission tomorrow!" Kakashi-sensei stated, giving us a thumbs up.

"Yes Sensei!" Sakura agreed happily.

"I did it! I'm a Ninja! Ninja! Ninja!" Naruto cried happily.

 I sweatdropped before smiling. "Oh, Naru-kun." I smiled ruffling his hair. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Sasuke frown a little as Naruto pouted. "I'm not a little kid anymore! I'm a ninja!"

I sweatdropped again at Naruto as Kakashi-sensei told us to go home, and left to shut the alarm in the clearing close to us.
