Recap:
Then I noticed the rest of the class staring at me dumbfounded at this friendly side of me besides "duck butt hair". "What?" I asked as I shrugged.
Iruka stammered "U-uh-h, u-um, a-ah. Ahem. Naruto, that is not his name." Then he nodded towards "duck butt". Heh, that's getting stuck in my head, and I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to call him, on purpose or not.
"Duck butt" said "I'm Sasuke." So this was the person the girls were obsessed over. He glanced over at me as he said "Uchiha Sasuke."
I gasped. Some of the class was startled/confused. Then I asked him very coldly, (it made Naruto's smile slightly falter), "Then are you familiar with Itachi Uchiha....... duck butt?"

Chapter Six -Naruto's Drool and Enlisting a Duck
Kumiko's P.O.V.
He froze and stared at before quickly standing up and throwing a kunai at me. My eyes widened, but I quickly grabbed a kunai from the "magic ninja pouch", and readied it to deflect his. However, before I could do anything, Iruka grabbed it from the air.
"No fighting in school," Iruka frowned at Sasuke, before realizing something and frowning at me. "Though, how do you know Itachi, Kumiko?"
Realizing that I would have to tell them my past, I scowled. I tried to avoid the subject by mumbling something about not wanting to talk about it. As Iruka's eyes narrowed slightly in suspicion, I sighed. As I muttered, "Itachi killed my family. There. Happy?" a pang went through my heart. I felt tears threaten my eyes and.... NO!!! I won't cry anymore! I pushed the feeling down, and calmed myself by closing my eyes for a few moments.
As murmurs were heard in the classroom, Iruka's expression went from one of slight mistrust to pity. Sasuke looked at the floor, and Naruto grinned uneasily.
I decided to ignored them. I gathered all my emotions, and imaged that I put them in a box and locked it. "Iruka-sensei, where do I sit?" I asked emotionlessly.
"Er.... You can sit where ever you feel comfortable, I guess," Iruka said slowly.
Nodding, I sat next to Naruto, who patted my back. "It's okay. I don't have parents either," he whispered to me.
I nodded slightly. Was he one of the other orphans that lived in the apartment? Then, Iruka began to lecture us about ninja rules.
***A few hours later***
I stared at Naruto, who had started drooling in his sleep. He had fallen asleep as soon as Iruka started talking. I inched away slowly from him (and his puddle of drool), sighed, and continued on the second set of notes for him. As the lunch bell rang, he continued drooling on the desk. In a attempt to wake him, I poked him.
Poke.
Poke.
Poke.
Poke-poke-poke-poke-poke-poke-poke-poke-
"Ahh! Don't steal my ramen!" he shouted as he was startled awake from my frenzied poking.
Sweatdropping, I told him, "It's lunch time."
"Oh. Hee hee, I guess I fell asleep," he said sheepishly, scratching the back of his head.
"You did that. You also...... did that, " I remarked, pointing to the giant puddle of drool.
He sweatdropped. "Really? I did that? Oops." I sweatdropped again.
"What are you eating for lunch?" he asked me.
"I was nearly late to school, so I forgot to pack a lunch." I sweatdropped at my own reply.
He motioned for me to follow him, and so I did. Naruto brought me to a ramen stand. "The ramen here is the best out of all Kohona! Believe it!" he shouted loudly, which made a few birds in a tree fly away.
"Okay. Er..., sir could I get a beef ramen please?" I asked the man behind the counter, and Naruto decided that he wanted a miso ramen.
"Okay, one beef ramen and one miso ramen, coming up!" exclaimed the man.
A few minutes later, the ramen was ready. It smelled heavenly! I began to eat it, only to stop a few moments later to stare at Naruto again, who was wolfing it down as if he hadn't eaten for days on end.
"Er.... Naruto-san?"
"You don't have to say san, just call me Naruto!"
"Okay."
"So....Naruto?"
"What?"
"Hn. Never mind." I sweatdropped, and continued eating the ramen.
*****
In total, Naruto had ate about 10 bowls. Ten! And that's only in a lunch! Then of course, he didn't bring any money. -_-'
He asked me if he could borrow some, but for some reason, I think if I give him some, the "borrowed money" would be never returned. But I paid for it anyways- mind you, very reluctantly.
"Let's head back to the academy, Naruto," I commented. "It's almost time to return to school, and then we wouldn't be late."
"Okay! Let's go, Kumiko!" he grinned.
****After Class****
"Bye Kumiko-chan! See you tomorrow!" Naruto shouted as he began to walk away.
"Goodbye Naruto!" I grinned under my mask.
As I watched him walk away, I realized I'd forgotten something.... or rather, someone. Narrowing my eyes, and began to search for a certain duck.
*****
Searching the training grounds was a good idea, it seemed. I've found Sasuke at one of them, throwing kunai at a post.
"Sasuke," I began, briskly walking onto the training field. "I need to talk to you about... him."
".....Hn. What about him?" he asked rudely, still throwing kunai.
Now, I've made several calculations about.... Itachi, and I realized that alone, I wouldn't be able to defeat him, or at least not as soon if I fought him with someone else.
"Would you like to team up against him?"
Sasuke froze in mid-throw (Which by the way, made the kunai fall and pierce the ground near his foot. It would've been kind of funny if it hit his foot.), and turned around. He seemed to think for a while before looking up at me.
"Yes."
I smirked. "It's settled then. Would you like to spar?"
Without saying another word, we attacked each other with a kunai in our hands.
