After chatting with Sasuke and clearing things up for a bit, he went back to the apartment to sleep while I decided to return to my favorite training ground. I assumed that Naruto had probably already gone home to sleep anyways.

 

Chapter 14 - Throwing a Peach Seed......

Kumiko's P.O.V.

I whipped a kunai at the target. It hit dead center with a wooden 'thock'. I was a little surprised that my speed and accuracy was much better than before, but then again, Uchihas had a lot a natural talent, and I had been working hard before for several years without it.

After a while, I decided to stop training  for a while. Running up a tree, I sat on one of its taller branches as I stared through the leaves at the beautiful full moon and stars. Just reflecting about today's events.

Sighing, I pulled out a peach and began eating it. As I finished, I practiced a little chakra sensing. 'Huh? There's a chakra nature nearby.....and it's.....Naru-kuns's? Shouldn't he be asleep by now?'

Confused, I decided to investigate.

Slipping through the treetops, I landed lightly on the grass behind Naruto, who was reading a large scroll.

"Naru-kun? What are you doing here?" I questioned him.

"Ack!" He panicked, turning around. "Who are you?"

"Oh, I'm Kumiko." I sweatdropped. 'Do I have to explain everything again?'

"My best friend is named Kumiko too!" he smiled happily.

I mentally facepalmed. "No, I mean I am Kumiko, your best friend!"

"No, you're not! You don't even sound or look like her!" He accused, pointing a finger at me.

Irk marking, I threw the peach seed at him. "Baka! I am Kumiko! Someone put a jutsu on me, and made me sound and look different. They also gave me a different surname, and apparently, I am an Uchiha. Don't ask me who it is, because I don't know either."

"Itai!" He complained as the peach seed hit him. "Oh, okay. Wait, why didn't you tell me?"

"Hn. 'Cause they also blocked my memories," I explained. "Say, what are you doing?" I asked, changing the subject.

"Huh? Oh, Mizuki-sensei told me if I stole this scroll, the Scroll Of Sealing, and learn a jutsu from it, I could become a genin! I'm trying to learn 'Shadow Clone Jutsu! Wanna join?" He grinned, showing off a huge scroll.

"Why not?" I shrugged, and then smirked. "I'm a sucker for learning new things." 'But it does seem a little fishy.....Why would Mizuki-sensei ask him to steal it?'

Scanning the scroll, I sweatdropped. 'This seems a lot harder than the normal jutsu.....'

Intensely focusing on the hand signs and chakra levels, I quickly committed it to memory.

"Okay, let's do this!" I shouted, and quickly made the hand signs. " Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" As a cloud of dust drifted away from my clone, I held my breath hopefully.

It looked okay...... a little blurred, but pretty good for a first try....or so I thought. When I tried to touch it, it felt really weird. Parts of it were solid, and other parts were just gas or liquid. Also, it didn't even move.......
