Chapter 2 - The Children Of Prophecy?!

Recap:

I rubbed my temples as I groaned, "Where is he? I've been looking for hours!" I was really tired out and sore, and my wounds from yesterday had reopened about 5 minutes ago. Luckily that day, I looked at the playground cautiously, because there were always kids there. And there he was. Standing there, looking at the other kids with a forlorn expression that I knew so well, that was always on my face too before. That day, I went up to him, and quietly whispered, "Thank you, for....yesterday's help. What's your name?" He, who was too engrossed in watching the other kids play to notice me, jumped. "Gaara." he cautiously smiled.

Chapter 2- I'm... One Of the Children Of Prophecy?!?!

After that, we were friends, and people stopped picking on me, afraid of Gaara. He isn't bad really. But he says that there is a really mean demon inside of him.

***End of a flashback inside of an flashback, but the actual flashback isn't over. (Did I confuse you? XD)***

Third P.O.V.

(A/N: She is now 11, by the way.)

But when she got home, she heard the sound of someone being stabbed, and her mother's blood curling scream right after it.

"Mother!" Kumiko gasped, running towards her house. She heard swords clashing, and quickly slammed open the door. Kumiko froze in terror when she saw her mother laying in a pool of her own blood, and her father attacking a man, with a slashed Konoha headband, and a sign of his clan on his back that looked familiar to her, but she wasn't sure why.

Her father glanced at Kumiko as the man started to try to make his way to her. "Yumiko! Get you and your sister to safety, quick! I'll hold him back as long as I can!"

Kumiko unfroze and said in unison with her sister, "No dad! I can help!" They both took a step forward.

"No! Yumiko! Kumiko! Get back! This man, he is Itachi Uchiha, is too strong, for me! All I can do now is buy some time!" Yumiko hesitated, looking at her father and Kumiko. "Quickly, Yumiko! Your sister is the Child Of Prophecy!" grunted her father. Kumiko was confused. Child Of Prophecy? She had never heard anything about that. Looking torn, Kumiko's sister quickly grabbed her and ran out of the house. Yahiko, their dog barked and followed them with speed Kumiko never knew he had.

So...Yahiko was actually a ninja hound? What will happen to my parents? Is mom really... I starting tearing up.

"Nee-san, is mom really... really..." Kumiko trailed off.

There was a silence.

"Don't worry Imouto, it'll be okay." soothed Yumiko.

(A/N: Nee-san means older sister, and Imouto means younger sister.)

***In the forest***

Kumiko and her sister heard another scream from the house. They immediately knew that their father was dead.

"Kumiko, I know this is very sudden, but you need to know about this. I'll stall time for you, and you run to the nearest village. Yahiko will carry you there. Since there is no time, here. Everything is explained in this scroll. I'm sorry Kumiko." said Yumiko. Yumiko ran towards the direction of the house. "Go Yahiko!" yelled Yumiko. "Love ya, sis." she added in a softer voice. Those were the last words that Kumiko heard from her sister.
