Chapter 19 - Introductions

He paused for dramatic effect, as Naruto and Sakura looked hopeful.

"Well, I hate you." He stated nonchalantly.

I facepalmed, as Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura got a slight depressed aura around them.

'What kind of sensei is he!?!?'

Chapter 19 - Introductions

Kumiko's P.O.V.

We followed our sensei as he walked to the roof, and us Genin sat down on the steps (Sakura was on the far left, Sasuke was next, then me, and the on the far right was Naruto) while our sensei leaned against the railing.

"Let's see." He said lazily. "First off, let me have you guys introduce yourself yourselves."

"Introduce ourselves..." Sakura muttered. "What should we say?"

He shrugged. "Your likes, dislikes, your future dream, hobbies, things like that!"

"Hey! Before that, please tell us about yourself." Naruto demanded.

I leaned forward. 'Hmm....'

"Me? My name's Kakashi Hatake. I don't feel like telling you guys about my likes and dislikes."

I mentally facepalmed, as Naru-kun and Sakura-chan looked surprised.

'I'm guessing it's going to be this vague for the rest of the introduction....' I thought.

"I've never really thought about my future dream...As for my hobbies, I have many."

I sweatdropped. 'Yup.'

"In the end, isn't all we know is his name?" Sakura said to Naruto with a look of irritation.

"Yeah." Naruto nodded.

"Next is you guys." Kakashi-sensei continued. "Let's start with you." He nodded to Naruto.

"My name's Naruto Uzumaki!" Naruto grinned, fiddling with his hitai-ate, which made a small clinking sound. "I like instant ramen, but what I like even more is the ramen from Ichiraku that Iruka-sensei treats Kumi-chan and me to."

I mentally sweatdropped. 'He's a ramen lover all right.'

"What I dislike is the three minutes after pouring hot water in the instant ramen." Naruto continued moving his hitai-ate up and down on his forehead. "My hobby is eating and comparing ramen! And my future dream....is to surpass the Hokage! And so I'm going to get the entire village to acknowledge my existence!" Naruto shouted.

I noticed Kakashi-sensei's one visible eye widen a little, before returning back to normal.

I allowed myself a small smile. *It looks like Kakashi-sensei thought Naru-kun's dream was about ramen, hmm?* I mentally communicated with Sasuke.

*Hn. .....To be honest, I thought so too.* Sasuke thought.

I mentally sweatdropped.

"Okay, next." Kakashi-sensei said boredly, his eyes sliding to Sakura-chan.

"I'm Sakura Haruno." Sakura said excitedly. "What I like....I mean, who I like is...." Sakura glanced over at Sasuke with a weird expression.

'Uh....' I sweatdropped again.

"And my hobby is, I mean...." She glanced over to Sasuke with that same strange expression.

I mentally facepalmed. 'Sakura....you have too much free time....'

"My future dream is..." Sakura glanced over at Sasuke with that creepy look again. She shrieked.

I winced. "Sakura-chan....My ears are very sensitive, ya know..."

"Sorry, Kumiko-chan." Sakura apologized without meaning it.

"And? What about your dislikes?" Kakashi-sensei prompted.

"Naruto!" She shouted immediately.

"Sakura-chan, don't be mean...." I sweatdropped again as I watched Naruto anime cry.

"Next," Kakashi sighed, nodding at Sasuke.

"My name's....Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke started, not looking at anyone.

I mentally facepalmed. *Stop being so dramatic, Sasu.*

I have lots of dislikes, and I like only a few things."

"And....I don't feel like summing up my ambition as just a dream, but I do have an ambition!" He said darkly.

I tensed.

"The ambition to restore my clan and without fail....to kill a certain man!"

The group was silent as they stared at Sasuke, and I stared at the ground.

"Next!" Kakashi-sensei said, ignoring Sasuke.

"I'm Kumiko Uchiha." I started. "I love training, onigiri, fish, pocky, dango, among other things. I dislike being talked about, bullying, being ignored, and losing. My hobby is training. And my goal...." I closed my eyes, and opened then again. "...Is the same as Sasuke's."

The tension in the air was so thick, you could literally feel it.
