"Dream, George, where did you guys go off to?"
All the boys looked at the two who were coming out of the trees next to the river.
Both were walking close together, arms brushing against each other every time they took a step. Red dusted on their cheeks and nose, giving them a sun-kissed look.
"We've been looking for you guys for a hour." Zak complained.
"Oh sorry." George apologised with an unapologetic smile plastered on his face, "We were just sitting by the water."
"Sitting by the water?" Karl questioned.
"Separately of course." Clay clarified, waiting to face palm as soon as he spoke.
"Hmm." Nick hummed suspiciously and raised a brow, "You guys were sitting by the river awfully long."
"W-we were talking." George said, side eyeing Clay, trusting him to not mix up their cover story.
"Talking about?"
"Uhh-,"
"My birthday." Clay chimed in a bit too quickly, "Tomorrow, the movies."
"The movies? Is that it?" Nick asked, forgetting all about his suspicion.
"Well yeah? Why?"
"Come on dude, for your thirteenth party you're gonna watch a movie? That's so boring." Nick said and rolled his eyes.
"Okay then, what do you want me to do?"
"Sleepover." Nick said automatically, "We can talk about stuff and hang out."
The boys around Clay and Nick all nodded their heads in agreement.
"That could be fun." Daryl smiled and tilted his head.
Clay frowned, when was everyone invited? Last time he checked, he only wanted to spend his birthday with Nick and George.
"Wait are all the boys coming?" Clay asked, "Since when?"
"Oh come on dude, we're all friends here and think about it-," Nick said and walked closer to whisper in his ear, "More presents."
The blonde pretended to nod in agreement, but in reality he didn't care how many presents he got. He didn't want everyone else coming to his party, "Well I was just gonna watch a movie." Clay shrugged, "That was it."
"But dude, sleepovers are more fun, like the last time we had a sleepover was last year when my parents had to work late. But we had so much fun remember?"
Yeah, they only had fun because it was just them two. Clay hadn't even had a sleepover with George yet.
He looked at the brunette and smiled at him subconsciously, thinking about what would happen if they were to have a sleepover.
His body tingled just thinking about it. How would that work? Would they sleep in seperate rooms or in the one same room? Would they sleep next to each other in seperate sleeping bags or would they share a sleeping bag so they could sleep in each other's arms?
Oh my god.
Clay gulped at the thought and shook his head.
That's something lovers do.
There was no way him and George could sleep in the same bed or sleeping bag just to hug each other - they're not in love.
"Hello? Earth to Dream."
Clay shook his head, "Huh?"
"So are having a sleepover or not?" Nick persisted.
The blonde looked at all the boys, who had hopeful and excited expressions on their faces. He turned his head to look at George, who seemed the most excited about the idea.
