February 1967

"In the power vested in me, in the state of Florida...you may now kiss the bride."

The guests went silent and watched carefully, not wanting to miss this life changing moment.

Clay smiled weakly as he lifted the veil off Emilia's face. She smiled lopsidedly as a tear ran down her cheek. She gave her bouquet to Cecile before turning back to the blonde.

He swallowed his nerves before cupping her jaw and leaning in, kissing her to tie the union.

"WHOOO!"

Everyone erupted in cheers as the newly wed couple completed the ceremony.

Lips still attached, Clay picked his new wife up and spun her around, laughing when he placed her down.

"That's our Dream!" Luke yelled from beside him, shaking him aggressively from excitement.

"Ahh Punz!" Clay laughed.

"I'm sorry, it's my first time being someone's best man, I'm a bit excited-,"

The blonde nodded and took his hands from Emilia for a second to hug his friend. He closed his eyes and squeezed him tight.

"Thank you Punz."

Luke hugged him back and rubbed his back, "Of course...he's watching and he's so proud of you."

Clay smiled and pulled away, "No he's not, he's probably mad that I chose you to be my best man."

"And that's why I was the best pick." Luke joked and looked up at the sky, "I'm Dream's best man bitch."

Clay shook his head and turned away from his best man. He looked at his wife and smiled slightly.

She looked ethereal in her white dress. Makeup applied carefully and hair pinned into an elegant knot. She put her hand on his face again and pulled him into another kiss.

Clay pulled away and hugged her loosely, opening his eyes to see the audience.

Everyone was standing and clapping. They cheered happily for them. Friends, families, coworkers - they all came together to celebrate their union.

Clay grabbed her hand and led her down the aisle in the direction of the car. Every person they passed shared their excitement and wishes of happiness.

"Oh!" Emilia laughed and wiped Clay's lips, taking off the smudged red lipstick that transferred.

Clay smiled weakly and looked around, heart beating louder with every step.

He was married.

His family ran up to greet him. Everyone hugged him, excited for the new chapter that he would experience.

All except Drista.

She stayed back while the rest of Greene's showered him in hugs and kisses. Her pink flower girl dress made her look so pretty and youthful...but the expression on her face was the exact opposite. She was mad.

After Clay talked to him family, he looked at the only one missing and froze when he saw her. He swallowed before walking over to her and engulfing her in a hug.

"I hope you're happy Clay." She whispered to him.

Clay closed his eyes and hugged her tighter, "You know that I'm not."

"Then why?"

He sighed and let go, kissing her head softly, "I need to move on Drista."

She shook her head and stepped forward again, hugging him, "But you're not going to be happy Clay. I'm not going to be okay knowing my brother is miserable-,"
