"W-what?" Clay stuttered as his brain tries to process the information, "What do you mean?"

"Cecile and I are getting a divorce." George repeated himself and dropped his head, "...what am I even doing here?"

"I-I don't know...," Clay mumbled but opened the door wider, "Uhh, come in?"

The brunette smiled weakly before nodding and walking into the house.

Clay blinked several times and shook his head before closing the door and turning around. Once he saw George looking around his house, he suddenly noticed how messy it was.

"Uhhh, don't mind the mess-,"

"He's here."

Clay frowned and looked at George, who was admiring the photos hung on the wall, "Who?"

"Sapnap." The brunette smiled and pointed at the picture Tommy had said goodbye to moments before, "He's here."

Clay let a small smile come to his face before joining George, "Yeah. I thought he would make a good addition to my house." He paused, "Tommy knows all about him."

"You told Tommy about Sapnap?"

"Of course. He's my best friend. He doesn't have the chance to meet him, but Tommy loves him." Clay smiled sadly, "And he can tell I miss him."

"How long has it been?"

"Forty-eight years this September."

George looked away from the picture and exhaled sharply, "Wow."

"Yeah...time flies, huh?" Clay whispered and turned to face George, "So, I don't mean to sound rude, but we haven't talked in, what - nine years? What brings you here?"

George sighed, "I told you, Cecile and I are getting a divorce."

Clay nodded his head slowly, "Okay?"

He heard what he said, he heard it clearly. But he couldn't process it.

George would finally be free again, they both would be...but why is it that he didn't feel any sense of relief?

No, he felt a bit sad.

"Forty-nine years done." George said and shook his head, "Forty-nine years."

"Wow...," Clay mumbled, "Why is it over? What happened?"

George shrugged and started waking to the kitchen. Clay followed, curious to know why the long-term couple was splitting.

"How have you been Dream?" The brunette asked as he sat down on a chair at the table.

Clay tilted his head and sat across from the man, "I've been doing okay. Tommy and I have some well and we're really close...why?"

"Oh, I just wanted to know." George shrugged, "Like you said before, we haven't talked in nine years."

"I wonder why."

George shook his head, "No, I wonder why."

"Sorry?"

The brunette shrugged, "I don't know, I just felt like before, I was trying to fix what I did, what I put you through. I would try to talk to you more and try to fix our relationship, but you didn't bother-,"

"You can't be serious-,"

"Hang on." George said, "I'm not saying that I blame you. I blame myself."

Clay's anger settled down as he leaned back in his chair, "Oh...?"

"Yeah." George nodded slowly, "Um, and, I've been thinking recently...I'm a shit person."
