May 1972

"Clay, could you please drop my dress off at the dry cleaners on your way?"

The blonde buttoned his shirt up before taking the dress from Emilia and putting it in a bag, "Um, sure."

"Thank you." She smiled and kissed him on the cheek, "I have a work lunch and I have no time-,"

"It's okay, I'll do it." Clay insisted and turned to grab his wallet, "Well I have to go now, I'm already running behind."

"Oh, okay." Emilia nodded, "Have fun, say hi to the boys for me."

"I will." He smiled and kissed the side of her head quickly before tapping his pocket to feel for his car keys, "Okay, I'm off."

He walked out of their bedroom, dress in hand. Gliding down the stairs, he combed back his hair with his hand and opened the door. Making his way to his car, he opened it and threw the dress in the back seat before starting it and driving away.

He checked the time. Twelve thirty-six.

"Shit." He muttered and stepped on the gas harder.

"Dream!"

The blonde gasped for air as he made it to their meeting place. His face was red and desperate for oxygen as he walked slowly to their table.

Luke and Callahan walked over to greet him, hugging him with a pat on the back.

"Why are you out of breath?" Luke asked, followed by a nod from Callahan.

Clay laughed, "I left the house a bit late, then I had to drop off Emilia's dress and there was traffic and...," He scoffed, "Just a shitty way here."

"It's okay, we didn't start without you." Luke smiled and led him to their table.

Their other friends sat happily around the table, laughing with each other about the old days.

Initially, Clay smiled that they were able to meet up. However, his smiled dropped when he realised how many of them were left.

Out of thirteen boys, only six were left.

"Dream!" Sam called out to him and stood up to shake his hand, "Come, sit, we've been waiting."

Clay sat down next to him and waved at the others, "So, did anyone order the beers?"

"No, we were waiting for you." Phil rolled his eyes, "What took you so long?"

"I was-,"

"He was running an errand for the wife." Luke chimed in, "Too much of a gentlemen he is."

The table laughed and looked at Clay to see him shake his head in amusement.

"Hey waiter." Luke said and waved to the employee, "Could we get-," He paused to count, "Six beers please?"

"Of course, sir."

Luke turned around, proud that he was the one asking for the drinks. He waited for the waiter to come back, helping the man give it to his friends.

"Cheers." They said and clinked their bottles together before drinking.

"Ahh." Phil grunted, "That's so refreshing."

"It is nice." George responded, taking another sip.

Clay put his bottle down and subtly looked up at the brunette, averting his eyes when he noticed George looking back.

"Wow, there's not many of us left, is there?" Sam asked and wiped his mouth.

"You're right." Phil sighed, "Callahan mentioned it just before. Six left."
