December 1961
"Whoooo! GO SAPNAP!"
Nick ran from second base to third, contemplating whether to run to home.
Clay quickly looked at the ball, seeing that it was still on the ground, two seconds before getting picked up a fielder.
"He can do it." The blonde muttered. He cupped his hands around his mouth to project his voice, "RUN SAPNAP!"
Without looking for the location of the ball, Nick sprinted. He ran faster than he ever had before. He looked behind him to see the ball being thrown to third base, sent to be thrown to home. Nick quickly picked up the pace, the cheers and yells of everyone around him was muffled as he made it to home, sliding at the last second to touch the base with his foot.
"Safe!"
The crowd erupted in cheers as the Pandas lifted Nick off the ground and into the air.
Clay laughed and stood up, clapping and cheering his best friend on, "Let's go Sapnap!"
Karl stood up on the bleachers behind Clay and put his hands on the blonde's shoulders, shaking him excitedly, "HE DID IT!"
The blonde smiled and turned around, giving Karl a high five.
"I'm so proud." Karl said with a huge smile and looked over to Nick, who was being put onto his feet again.
Clay sighed happily and say down, his eyebrows raising when the person next to him discretely held his hand.
The blonde laughed and looked straight ahead, careful not to give it away, "George." He warned and turned his head.
The brunette was smiling mischievously and held onto his boyfriend's hand tighter when he realised the blonde was looking at him, "Yes?" He asked in an innocent voice.
Clay turned to his left and right, looking for anyone who might be staring at them. But the crowd was the same as always, fixated on the game, not aware of their surroundings.
His friends were all sat down next to each other, cheering Nick, Luke and Alex on.
Clay smiled as he knew he was in the clear. He discretely moved his hand and put his forefinger under George's chin. He tilted his head up slightly and pressed and quick kiss on his lips.
George's eyes widened and looked around, "Dream!"
"What?" Clay laughed and pushed George's hair back, "You started it."
The brunette rolled his eyes with a little smile, "Well I didn't mean for you to kiss me, there are people around you know?"
The blonde smiled, "I know...but look around, there's hardly anyone here and the people who are, are too focused on the game."
George looked around to the multiple empty seats in the bleachers, "Oh, you're right."
"See?"
Clay studied his boyfriend's face with an adoring smile. He realised his face has matured ever so slightly throughout the years - but it only made him more handsome.
"What?" George asked.
Clay smiled and shook his head. He turned to Karl, "Who's batting next?"
The boy shrugged, "I don't know actually, he's some new kid, Nick said he wasn't that good."
"Great." Clay said and stood up, grabbing onto George's wrist and hoisting him up as well.
"Why are you asking?" Karl asked, confused why his friends were standing up hallway through the game.
