Sapnap was particularly asleep, his arm slugging over the side of Karl's bed where he'd been sleeping. He was fully awakened by a soft noise from the other side of the bed.

He turned over to see Karl lying there, face facing upward with his neck stiff and goosebumps down his arms.

"Hey?" sapnap hesitated before tapping Karl's arm.
Karl took a sudden breath and squeezed his eyes shut tightly.

"Are you okay?"

Karl slowly met his eyes. He leaned forward to hug Sapnap, who patted him on the back.

He didn't really know what was happening to Karl. Sleep paralysis was his best bet. What was he meant to do when this happened? He knew it had happened before, but never when he was there. He wasn't good at comforting people to begin with.

But he did know one thing Karl liked, company. He liked having someone next to him, just someone being there. Sapnap could do that.

He let go of him momentarily to look him in the eyes.
"Do you want to talk about.. it?"

"Mm, not yet."

"Okay."

Sapnap leaned back against the headboard. Karl cuddled up beside him.
He could tell karl was paranoid. He wrapped his arm around Karl's back. Karl snuggled his head against his shoulder.
