I don't think i've ever blushed so much in my entire life than i have been doing these past few days. After a few minutes of just staring at the door that darien had disappeared behind i sighed letting out the breath that i didn't even know i had been holding. I still wanted to listen to music but no way in hell was i going to be dancing anytime soon.
So i grabbed a magazine and sat down on the couch, flipping through it feeling bored as hell. I started thinking about why i wasn't trying to escape any more but i knew after meeting Dariens father that it was definitly not worth taking the chance.
A soft song came on making me feel tired, i lied down on my side, clutching a pillow to my chest as i fell into a light slumber. i woke to the sound of the door opening again. i blinked a few times rubbing a hand over my forhead to wake myself up.
"tired are we?" a voice asked in amusement. i looked up to see darien standing on the opposite side of the couch looking down at me while he slipped his suit jacket off. i smiled stretching like a cat. "well there's not much else to do when you're limited to one room." i yawned burying my head back into the pillow
Darien chuckled, poking me in the side. i jumped a squeak escaping my lips. "ooh someone's ticklish." he murmured leaning farther over the couch to get at me. i whined pushing his hands away. "Darien!! stop!!" he gripped onto my waist tickling me, pretending as if he hadn't heard me. i giggled unable to stop as i tried feebily to grab his hands so i could breathe.
when he stopped i was gasping for air and i could tell my face was probably beat red from laughing so hard. Darien chuckled taking in my red face. suddenly my stomach growled. really loud. i blushed gripping onto my stomach in embarressment. "did you eat anything today?" darien smiled down at me. i shook my head biting my lower lip.
"get ready." he rolled his eyes in amusement standing up and moving to his office doors that he kept under lock and key at all times. don't think i haven't tried cause i did. i got up straightening my tank top before shuffling over to the walk in closet both darien and i shared. i looked through the clothes that evelyn had bought me finding a nice white spaghetti dress and a navy blue cardigan to go with it. i stripped down to my underwear pulling the clothes on top before grabbing the small makeup bag.
i walked over to the washrom flushing my face with water before applying a light coat of makeup. i let my hair down clipping up the sides so they didn't fall in my face before i decided i was ready. i stepped out of the washroom and walked over to dariens office. i raised my hand to knock but started wondering if he would get angry if i disturbed him. so there i was standing there like a douche with my hand in the air contemplating if i should knock or not.
Darien thankfully opened the door just at that moment saving me from making the choice. he frowned at me and my raised hand. "what were you doing?" i gave a sheepish smile dropping my hand. "i was going to knock to tell you i was done." i mumbled. he smiled closing the door behind him and locking it. "okay then, shall we?" he asked nodding to the door to his room.
i nodded turning around and letting darien go first before i followed him out. "where are we going?" i asked following darien to the garage. he swung his keys around his index finger with precision like he had done it so many times before. "uh...is italian okay with you?" he asked.
