We stayed silent as Darien drove the SUV away from the mayhem behind us. In all honesty i was lucky to be alive, But everything that i had ever owned and belonged to me was now gone. Sitting at the bottom of the ocean or washing up on the shores as we drove away.

The thought made me feel depressed. In a matter of hours i had lost everything and had become one of the many people on Scorsayzy's hit list. how was it that everything could go so wrong so fast?

i shivered quietly my whole body trembling from the sligt chill that passed through my body, The windows were closed and the air wasn't on but it felt like my wet clothes were absorbing the cool air anyways.

i rubbed my hands together to try and stop the shaking. "w-why am i-i s-shaking so much-h" i studdered trying to block out the cold.

Darien glanced over at me before he started to slow the car. "your just in shock." he said without emotion. as if the deaths and the crash a few moments ago didn't affect him. when the car pulled up the side of the road, he put it in neutral and stepped out, removing his suit jacket.

he stepped around the car coming over to my side and opening up the passenger door. "here, put this on." he mumbled, placing it over my chest gently. i shuddered clutching the warm fabric to me eagerly.

"t-thanks." i chattered giving him a small nod. He nodded back as he closed the door, sealing me inside the car, He climbed back into the drivers side and put the car in to gear.

His jacket smelled like a spicy cologne mixed with his own smell that i couldn't quite put my finger on. In all honesty it was amazing. The warmth from the jacket seemed to soak into my skin to my very core, warming me up almost from the inside. When i had stopped shaking and chattering i began to realize that we instead of heading towards the city we were heading farther and farther away from it.

"where are we going exactly?" i asked after a couple of hours. "A safe place." darien answered making a turn down a small side street. "and where exactly is this 'safe place' of yours?" i asked making quotations with my fingers. "the location is none of your concern." he answered making yet another turn on to a small dirt road.

"well it becomes my concern when you are taking me there!" i shouted sitting up straight in the car seat, dariens jacket falling into my lap. Darien mumbled something under his breath that i couldn't quite catch but i knew from the hardset of his jaw that it was anything but nice.

He once again turned the car to the side of the road, shoving the car into neutral. He slipped a hand into his coat jacket.

i felt myself flinch as he pulled out something. "put this on." he commanded, holding it up infront of me so i had a good luck at it.

I shifted my gaze back to dariens. "your seriously asking me to blindfold myself?" i asked him in disbelief

"you ask alot of questions?" he glared. "no outsider knows where we are going. and since that is exactly what you are you will wear this until i tell you differently."

"or what?" i challenged. he narrowed his eye, moving his hand to his jacket , opening the side of his coat, so that the handel of his gun showed.

"any more questions?" he asked with attitude. I glared before wripping the cloth from hishands and yanking it down over my head, covering me in darkness.
