"Oh, Jace?" Eleanor frowned.

He had dragged Eleanor out leaving Pearl in the room. They went down the back stairs and out to the backward. Once outside he let her arm go. She rubbed her arm.

"Sorry," he said.

"It's fine," she said.

"Look, please don't mention anything about what happened in the past to Pearl," he said. "I'll tell her."

"Okay," Eleanor smiled.

"I'm glad you can see, and that you're alright," he said.

"Thanks," she smiled. "It was you who went into my room that one time right?"

"If you know why ask," he said a bit too rude. He groaned.

"Ah," she looked down. "Just wanted to make sure that's all." She sighed. "You change a lot. And it's because of me. It's my fault you had to hide like this for years. Unable to see your family and friends. And for that, I apologize."

"It's not your fault," he said. "Its mine and my stupidity." He sat on the bench. "I was a stupid kid back then. But now I'm more mature. I have a mate to take care, and maybe, later on, we'll be having kids."

"Oh," Eleanor sat next to him. "Jace, you being mature isn't you. I can see through you. It's a mask your wearing. When are you going to forgive yourself?"

"This is me," Jace said. "The old Jace died in that fire."

"He didn't die," she said. "He mainly locked himself inside. Put chains around his heart and walls. His being someone his not."

"Well that Jace will stay locked up," he said. "I like this Jace. His more mature and caring."

"Your parents suffer so much, especially your mother," she said. "You have a baby sister. Who only wishes you could be alive not knowing that you are."

"Eleanor, stop okay," he stood up pacing around. "I won't go back."

"You have to go back," Eleanor said. "You can't run from your past."

"I know," he said. "I can run but won't get anywhere. You already invaded my safety zone."

"Sorry," she looked down fiddling with her hands.

"How's everyone?" Jace asked.

"They're good," she said. "Like we said before. They all marry and have kids."

"That's nice," he sighed.

"Don't you think it would be best for you to confront Ellie first," she said. "Baby steps first. Starting with her will get you higher."

"Rather not face her," she said.

"She's married, and has a daughter," she said. "She got her punishment."

"Did she now?" I chuckle.

"Rape is what she got and out came her daughter," she said. "Which she kept."

"Ah," now that's something Jace doesn't like hearing. "I see. Look just for now let me enjoy my happy moments."

"Okay," she smiled.

"Your twins are troublemakers," he said sitting back down.

"Yeah," she smiled. "They are hyper all the time."

"What, you give than to much sugar?" He asked.

"No," she said. "They have always been like that since the day they began crawling. They shifted during their baby years."
