"A werewolf?" Aldric looked over at him.

"Yeah, wasn't my choice," Jace said.

"I never knew, werewolf existed," Aldric said. "All my life I been around humans. Never left this town. I'm clueless."

"I see," this boy doesn't know anything about his kind. "When you found out you were a wolf. How did you react?"

"The first time was when I was ten," he said. "I was out in the woods kicking a soccer ball around when I felt hot. And it was during winter break. Not sure what was wrong with me. And then I felt pain lots of it. Next thing I knew I was on the ground on all four. And this voice spoke to me." He smiled. "Ley, he explained everything to me. From then on I did what he told me. The funny thing about it was that I was a chubby kid. I used to get bullied a lot. I was still chubby even after I shifted. Then high school arrived. I had lost weight, lots of it. I had muscle, and the bully stopped I was homeschooled from 10 to 14 years old. But it's a small town so yeah. They knew me. Now everyone likes me. I pretend to like them back. I've never met anyone like me before. You're the first." He said. "Sorry I freaked out. My wolf said you were like me and that you seemed different and much stronger than me. I'd wish to know more about this whole wolf thing."

"I'll gladly show you and tell you," Jace said. "Though I can tell you everything. But I can no longer shift into a wolf. My body is different, and now I'm a werewolf."

"Werewolf is a human-like right?" He asked.

"Yes," Jace said. "It's not easy to control. Like I told you before. The girl who's after me wants to use me to kill the people I love. People that did hurt her, in reality, she hurt herself. She's not well in the head."

"So she injected you to keep you as a werewolf," He asked. Jace nodded. "But now that she can't inject you, your fine?"

"Yeah, until the full moon," he chuckled. "Its a race against time. There are three ways to this, well like three things out to get me. One the full moon, two Kayla and her damn pets, and three my friends."

"You're hoping your friends will get to you first?" Jace nod.

"Maybe by the time they find me I'll have full control of this new gift," Jace said.

"Okay, well you can stay for as long as you need," Aldric said. "This house is huge, and it feels empty. My parents live in another state. So yeah."

"Thank you," Jace smiled.

"Oh, Jace?" He looked back at Natalia. She was laying on the couch asleep. Now she had awoken. She came up to him and sat on his lap. "I'm hungry."

"You can use the kitchen and anything you need," Aldric said.

"Thanks, while I make her something I'll tell you about us wolf," he nodded as Jace follow him to the kitchen. Natalia followed them and climbed onto the stool. "Okay, so you already shifted. Have you been shifting more often?" He nodded. "Good." Jace took out some ingredients and began to cook. "We don't let the human see us. There are some cases where we do because we want to make peace with them. And when we find out mates."

"Mates?" He looked interesting on that subject.

"Yes mate," Jace said. "The person you destined to be with the one you'll love and protect with your life. You'll want to be with that person all the time. You'll mate of course in both a wolf and as humans if your soulmate is human. Only in human you can mate and will be enough for both you and your wolf." Jace frowned. "Hasn't your wolf told you all this? He should know?"

"No, his clueless as I am, he said it's his first time being someone's wolf," he said.

"Oh, I get it," it was the wolf's first time being chosen to be with a human. "Alright, anyway. Your mate will be your wife and everything to you. Or you can reject that person. But it will be painful for both of you."
