○Chapter 19: Caught Again

"Suda, we have to go!" Pearl yelled.

"And get caught, hello they are looking for those kids," Suda said.

"Suda, he's running a fever," she was worried. Baby Davis develop a fever throughout the night.

And his body was hot. Pearl could feel it through the blanket. She needs to get him to a hospital. "Please," Pearl begged.

"Fine," Suda said. "Let's go."

They sneaked out of the cabin. Halfway there, Kayla attacked them. Surrounded by wolves. Kayla.

"You two thought you could escape me," she said. "Suda of all people to betray us. It doesn't matter you'll going to die."

Pearl stepped in front of her. She won't let her die. Pearl hands Davis to her. 

'Run!' Pearl said.

Pearl shifted just as she ran. If she ran toward town, she'd be safe. Please let them be safe. Pearl didn't last long. She had to give up as to not risk her child life. She laid down and shifted back. Gustavo pushed her down with his paw.

"She got away!" Kayla kicked her. "This your fault! Because of you, I couldn't get my hands on them two brats! Because of you, Jace's parents are alive!"

So those people are Jace's parents. That does two kids are his siblings. She was glad she saved them. Hopefully, Suda will get help from someone. Anyone.

She was hauled up and dragged toward the cabin again. So they knew where they were.

"You're both so stupid!" Kayla yelled. "But I'll make you pay for it." She had a syringe in her hand. "By the time the full moon arrives. You'll be a full werewolf."

"Ah!" Pearl winced. She could feel the hot liquid run through her body.

'This sensation,' Sal whisper. 'I don't like it.'

'Sal, you sound weak,' Pearl said.

'I am weak...,' she said. 'This thing they injected us with it's taking my energy. Pearl, I don't think I'll be able to shift.'

Just like Jace. Paerl needs to get away. She doesn't want to lose Sal.

"Ow," Kayla injected her over and over. "Stop!"

"This way you won't be able to shift ever again, nor back to human!" She yelled. Not sure how many time she injected her. But there was a trail of blood going down her right arm. And her arm felt numb.

'Sal, protect our pup!' Pearl yelled.

But not sure she heard her. If she did, Pearl hopes she protects their pup.

During the whole night. Pearl became feverish. Her whole body felt extremely hot. Hot enough that the metal shackle burns her skin. She laid down on the bed. They shackle her with a long chain. Only an ankle and a hand.

"She has a fever!" Pearl could hear an argument. "She could die!"

"Than let her die!" That was Kayla. "I don't give a shit about her!"

"We need her!" Gustavo yelled. "You been a bitch lately!" Pearl heard a slap. "Don't ever slap me again. You may be a freak, who enjoys stabbing people. But I love torturing and ripping your insides. And push my buttons, and you'll wake up with your stomach hanging from the ceiling!"

That sounded horrible. All these people are a psychopath. Except for Suda, she seems to have fallen into the wrong crowd. Pearl felt weak. Her body felt like it was shutting down.
