○Chapter 20: Jace Is A Werewolf

Jace groaned

"Jace, what's wrong?" His mother asked.

"I'm not sure; it hurts," he said.

She hugged him kissing his head. And rubbing his chest. But the pain only got worse.

"Breathe in and out," he did what she told him to do. The pain slowly went down.

It seems like forever since he learned he was a full werewolf. Okay so two days ago. His father had told him about his uncle, Scott. Who is Clay's older brother? Scott was born a werewolf. Werewolf had supposedly become extinct. But Jace guesses they weren't, they just changed forms. They became four-legged wolves. And it came back. Uncle Scott was the first. His mother became ill during his pregnancy and after she got better something in his DNA shift. And when Jace was born, he was born with lots of hair. It covered his whole body. Everyone was shocked. But as he grew, the hair fell or disappear back into his skin. At the age of ten was when he shifted. His mother was with him when he did. And it wasn't a regular shift. His bones crack and snap. Fur covers his whole body it's complete. He stood on his hind legs, like a human. And all this happens during a full moon. He went on a rampage. They couldn't find him. Eventually, he came back, all bloody and scared. From then on they did various tests on him. Discovered he was a werewolf. And it could be pass on to others. From there, they went on looking for anyone that he had bitten. Some even got killed. The humans began to look for the beast that had attacked. Scott was kept hidden and in chains. His parents aim to make him control it.

He escaped once again. At that time he had little control. But not enough, he attacked a family. And in that family, at the time no one knew them yet. But in that family, there was a baby girl. She was barely one. Scott attacked her family. But didn't kill anyone but he had bitten the girl and left. No one knew where Scott went or to where. He disappears. The girl was fine. It seems the bite didn't affect her. Clay was born two years before Scott escaped. But never met. It was later on in his teen years when his brother came back. He was different now. He had regained full control of the beast inside him. Clay was happy he met him at last. And more delighted that he came to take the Alpha position. But Scott didn't happen for that. He rejected being Alpha. And Clay was forced to be Alpha. Scott came to see the girl he had bitten.

His father had told him there wasn't a need for that the girl was okay. But Scott said it wasn't okay even though he didn't infect her. She could give birth to one. His father just shrugged it off. It was years later when she became pregnant. Pregnant with Jace. His mother was the one that carried the DNA as well. But to give birth only. It's no wonder Jace was kept away from everyone when she was born. But she was born healthy. Jace assumed they wanted to make sure. It seems it finally manifests the beast he had trapped inside got years is free. His parents told him that his sister has it too. It's why they adopted instead of having any more. But they could pass it on. Now it has come out. Jace is a werewolf. If his uncle controls it, so can he.

"Jace," Jace felt his mother's hand on his cheek.

"I'm fine," Jace said.

"Alright," she kissed his cheek.

A few hours later Jace was laying with his mother, while his father talked to someone on the phone. Probably someone from back home. And he said he was going to tell them he was alive, no buts. The pain Jace felt earlier wasn't completely gone. He could still feel it. It was faint.

"I hope they find your siblings,"  Kristy said. She smiled, she was happy to have her eldest son with her. Kristy knew he was alive. She had always known and now has solid proof. She has him here in her arms.

"I hope so too," Jace said.

Kristy smoothes Jace's hair down. It has been so long since she held her son. The last time Kristy held him. That was when he got out of the house angry.
