"Does it hurt huh?!" Kayla yelled.
Pearl winced. Sal couldn't hold all the pain. She was losing this battle. And now Pearl felt the pain. She was feeling all the pain. Kayla was twisting a screwdriver into her thigh. And it hurts so much. She was playing with it.
"I bet it must be awful you stupid bitch!" She dug in. Pearl think it hit her bone. It hurts. "Since I couldn't do this to Jace, I'll do it to you. I'll mark your body, so you'll remember me. But it won't matter, you'll be dead."
Pearl screamed as she shoved it all into her shoulder. Her shoulder, the one she can't feel. It felt numb. Her whole body felt numb. She couldn't do anything. Suda neither, all she could do is watch. But she always cleans her wounds later.
"There we go," Kayla giggled. "Suda, take care of her, I'm dying to hunt." And they were gone leaving Suda and her alone.
"She's nuts," Suda said. " I can't take it anymore. We're leaving right now, once they get away from the place."
Suda left her for a bit and came back with some keys. She fiddled with the shackles around her wrists, then neck and her ankles. Pearl fell. Suda helped her up.
"First let's clean your wounds and bandage them," she said. Pearl nodded. "She did a nasty wound here." she winced. Her body was cover with bruises and wounds. It was damaged. But thankfully her belly was unharmed. "There, now come on, they're gone. It's our chance."
And so they ran. Well, Pearl did her best to run. They were halfway when Pearl felt her body give out.
"Come on Pearl, don't give up now," Suda said. "Think of your child. Be strong for it."
Her child. Her baby. She has to be strong for her/he. Standing up they continue running, but they weren't going back to her home.
"Where are we going?" Pearl asked.
"I'm not sure," Suda said. "My wolf is telling me to follow my instinct. And I am, it's like following an invisible line. Trust me?"
"Okay," Pearl said.
Eventually, her wolf took over after a while. So did Sudas. They were in wolf form now. Suda wolf looked tough. Her fur was a light brown with red. Pearl sighed. As they ran, she felt an itch. Well, I think I was an itch. She had to stop and rub at her ears.
'What's wrong ?' Suda asked. 'We have to keep going.'
'Can't, something bothering me,' Pearl said.
'It was Reed,' Sal said.
Pearl sat there. Reed. Reed has contact, Sal. So that's what was bothering her.
'Yes, I told him everything, and he'll tell Jace,' Sal said.'Keep going, Suda is on the right path.'
'We can go now,' Pearl said.
Suda nodded, and they ran once more. It was strange Suda wolf seem to be in a rush.
'Have you had a mate?' She asked.
'No,' they answered.
'You being in a rush,' Pearl said. 'Could it be that you found him?'
They abruptly stopped. Pearl looked at Suda; she had a different expression.
'We don't know, it could be,' Suda sounded nervous.
