AN/ For some reason this was called chapter all by itself, not that I mind, seeing as it's all about me.... Trailer to the side>>>>>

Ella walked into the Great Hall by herself the next morning, and, instead of sitting with the Slytherins, she looked around the hall before taking a seat next to Allen at the Hufflepuff table. Helping herself to a bit of toast, and ignoring the stares and whispers that were filling the table around her, she said cheerfully to Allen, “Morning!”

“What the hell are you doing?” asked Allen, looking around.

“Sitting, eating, breathing, digesting, moving, speaking-“

“Yes, yes, I know all that, but why? Why aren’t you with the other Slytherins?”

“I thought you might need some company,” Ella said with a grin, and her friend looked sceptical. “Oh all right then. Last night I punched a Slytherin girl in the face, kicked another in the chest, jinxed this random guy’s nose… and what else? Oh yeah, I told Dawn to rack off and locked them all out of the 2nd year dormitory.”

“You did what?”

“I just told you, Allen.” Ella helped herself to some grapes. “And – before you ask why- it was because she called you a, umm… filthy blood traitor, Brin a mudblood, and Brooklyn a snobby half-blood.” I take it this means that you guys are friends again?” Allen asked, still a look of surprise on his face.

Ella snorted. “Hardly. They’ve doubtless heard, but I think they’re waiting for a spoken apology before they forgive me, but it’s something they are NOT going to get. No, the other Shi- I mean girls still hate me and are probably suspicious of me talking to you.”

Allen stopped slouching, and Ella knew she had said too much. “What were you about to call them? Why should they not want you talking to me?”

Ella mentally slapped herself, and came up with one of the fastest lies she had ever made. “Well, they call themselves the ‘Shy Girls’ which was what I was going to say, because Hufflepuffs are meant to be meek and shy, but you know how Brooklyn and Brin are so loud and rowdy.”

“They are?” Allen asked, smirking.

“Yes, and I can’t talk to you… because Brooklyn has a crush on you.”

“Ella, she has a boyfriend.”

“So?”

“That was the worst lie you have ever told.”

“It was not. Remember when you and your parents stayed over and we accidently blew up the kitchen, so I said that the tadpoles-“ Ella stopped as she noticed Allen’s face go deathly pale, as he looked at something behind her shoulder.

“Ella, leave. Now.” He whispered through gritted teeth as she looked behind her.

There were five people making their way towards them, four boys, and one all too familiar girl. Skyla scowled at Ella as she spotted her sitting next to Allen, and Ella had no doubt that Skyla thought that she was snitching on the Shining Stars. Meanwhile, the boy Ella recognised as Nathan spoke up. “Who’s this, Allen?”

Allen shot Ella a look as though it were her fault she hadn’t taken his advice and left, and he answered for her. “This is Ella, Ella Bond.”

“A Bond?” asked a haughty faced blonde boy. “A new recruit?”

“A recruit for what?” Ella asked, pretending to have no idea what they were talking about. “Not your fan club I hope, Alec Slaine. Or should I say, your Highness?”
