This next bit was suppossed to be deleted, but I'm posting it becaus it's so controversial.

It was DADA and Hillary was bored, staring out of the window. Professor Dracio was the worst professor ever and she couldn't see how this day was going to get any better. She was passed a chit, just then by Skyla Meyers. She was a Gryffindor and one of my close friends. The chit said:

Could this get any worse? --- with a picture of Dracio being struck by lightning beside it. Hillary smirked and replied:

I don't see how that's an option. --- she laughed when she read it and got out her wand. Hillary raised her eyebrows at her and whispered, "What are you doing?!"

"It's time to have a little bit of fun!" She grinned. Hillary shot her friend a warning look which Skyla merely smirked at. Hillary shook her head and said, "Don't do it, Sky!"

"Calm down, I'm only going to Stupefy him!"

"ONLY going to Stupefy him? I would rather see you in class with me than in detention!" Hillary was crazy but even this was too crazy for her. But she knew Skyla, Skyla wouldn't do it. She was smart. Not stupid. She wasn't going to risk a perfect night for detention. At least, Hillary hoped she wouldn't. She saw Skyla raising the wand and was about to scream when the bell rang. Sighing, Skyla put her wand away and Hillary smiled triumphantly. Just on time. She walked out to go for lunch, smiling to herself with the other students while Skyla swung her wand in her hand and talked about something that had happened to someone in her family.

Hillary ran down the corridor as fast as she possibly could to reach Charms class on time. Needless to say it was her favourite class. She hoped that the running would keep her mind off the pack of Slytherins who had made fun of her height during lunch. So maybe she wasn't the tallest person in the world but that didn't give them the right to call her names. Just then, she heard a voice call her from behind. She skidded to a stop, nearly falling over and turned around to see her ex-best friend, Jake, talking to her. Her eyes slowly widened with shock.

"Jake?!" She exclaimed still not choosing to believe her eyes.

"Hey!" He grinned and she rolled her eyes. Ever since that dumb prank in their first year, they had stopped being friends. Their families had continued to be friends but they weren't.

"Why are you talking to me?" She asked, an atmosphere of hostility surrounding the two of them.

"Listen Hill---"

"I have Charms and as usual, you won't be there. You'll be off doing Merlin knows what with your 'new' friends and I'm going to learn some very interesting charms which will be used on you in the future. So don't you dare "Listen Hillary" me!" She nearly screamed but remembered that she didn't want to be in detention just yet. Jake stared at her and then when she didn't move, he slowly said, "Don't you have a Charms class to get to?"

"You know what? I think I do." Hillary said, narrowing her eyes at him menacingly. Then she turned on her heel and went to class. Her cheeks were red and fire was almost dancing in her eyes when she excused herself and got into Charms. Professor Flitwick didn't notice but Skyla did.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Don't ask." Hillary said, trying to concentrate on the charm but failing. Why oh why did Jake choose this day to talk to her?! Why?! Little did she know that this was just the beginning of the meeting which was yet to become a scenario in the months to come.

Hillary could feel Skyla's eyes on her as she tried hard to do a spell. It wasn't like her not to get a charm. Finally Skyla placed a finger on the mouse and said, "What happened?"
