"Doesn't the door have an odd shadow?"

Callie sprinted from her hiding place, down the long corridor. Hiding behind a long curtain, she waited. And waited... And she heard footsteps.

‘Oh God...’ She thought to herself. ‘Oh God, oh god oh god…’

How could her heart be in so many places at once? She could hear it pounding in her ears, she could feel it lodged in her throat, and she could see it throbbing out her chest. The footsteps were getting closer… closer... Closer...

“Callie?!”

Dracio stuck his out of the door silently and looked down both sides of the corridor. (s)He stepped out, squinting.

"There’s no-one there, girls...”

Callie’s finder ripped back the curtain in surprise. She had to admit, it was a terrible hiding place. “Callie?! What are you doing in here?!”

Callie’s face changed in an instant, from preparing to scream, to preparing to kill.

“Steph! Get away!” Callie could feel her blood boiling, as Steph’s confused face grew annoyed. “Seriously, go back to the common room!” She hissed.

“Not until you tell me what the hell you’re doing!” Steph rasped back at her.

“Get lost!” Callie snarled. “I’ll tell you when I come back.”

“Come back now!”

“NO!”

“YES!”

“NO!!”

Steph looked Callie up and down. “Fine” She inhaled deeply preparing to yell.

“Don’t even think about it... Okay! Okay! I’ll tell you!” Callie gasped. “I’m… I’m…” Callie looked around her, waiting for a wave of inspiration, when she heard them. More footsteps were heard. “We need to get out of here! Come on!” She grabbed Steph’s hand and raced for the dungeons. Just in time.

Brin tilted her head to the side, certain she could hear something. Whispering, she thought.

“Do you hear that?” Skyla asked quietly. Everyone fell silent, while listening.

“YES!”

There it was again, Brin stepped out of the double doors, and started walking swiftly down the corridor. The Stars followed her.

Brin raced after the sound. She could see the worried aura floating behind whoever it was that had been listening to them. It had to have been a Shade Shadow but which one? Suddenly Brin was stopped by a hand. It was Riddly. "It was the girl." She said.

"The girl? Callie. Do you know what she heard?"

"No, but if she did it was only are readings." Brin looked at the other members and met Hailey's eyes. She nodded at her.

Brin understood. "We need to go back the meeting is not done and we have discussed the important part. We need to talk about the Seranird.  “Everyone nodded in agreement and started walking back towards the classroom. Brin couldn't help notice that everyone’s auras were now on edge.
